Day 1
On April 24th, our tour started. We met up at LSPU Sta Cruz Campus at around 8 PM.
Two hours later, we were finally enabled to depart. After a very long and tiring hours of
traveling from Laguna to Ilocos, we’ve finally arrived at our first stop which is Santa Maria
Church, Ilocos Sur. At 7 AM we arrived at Vigan Convention Center for our seminar and there
we had our breakfast. The first seminar focused on basic tour guiding, immersing us in the art of
creating meaningful and memorable experiences for visitors. Seasoned experts in the field shared
their knowledge, guiding us through the essential skills and techniques required to be exceptional
tour guides. We learned about effective communication, cultural sensitivity, and the importance
of storytelling in painting vivid pictures of Ilocos' rich heritage and attractions. After the
engaging seminar on tour guiding, our attention turned to the gastronomic delights of Ilocos. The
second seminar focused on food operations, with a special highlight on Marsha's Delicacies, a
renowned local establishment. Set in the heart of Vigan, Marsha's Delicacies played a pivotal
role in preserving the region's culinary heritage. Next stop is Baluarte, which is owned by Chavit
Singson. The temperature in Ilocos was extremely hot, so hot that I can’t enjoy roaming around
our destinations. I was bathed in my own sweat but it was fun too because I got to witness
animals in person that I had previously only read about in books and seen on the internet. Inside
the enclosed area, you get to see a variety of wild animals being domesticated, including tigers,
lions, deer, sheep, snakes, and more!
After our lunch, we proceed to Juan Luna Shrine. As we walked through the doors, we
were greeted by the sight of remarkable artworks adorning the walls, each telling a unique story.
The gallery showcased the masterpieces of renowned artist, Juan Luna, and we were captivated
by the intricate details and emotional depth in each painting. The shrine's serene atmosphere
allowed us to appreciate the beauty and creativity that emanated from the artist's brushstrokes.
Truly, visiting this place was humbling and one-of-a-kind experience for me. We continued our
journey to a UNESCO World heritage Site and a symbol of the region's rich spiritual heritage,
the Paoay Church is an iconic landmark that we visited. The intricate design and solid
architecture left us in awe, as we contemplated the generations that had passed through its doors.
The last stop for day 1, is the Sand dunes of La Paz. The place is widely known for its sand
dunes, where tourists can try 4×4 truck adventures as well as sandboarding. The wind whipped
through our hair as we screamed with delight, the dunes providing a thrilling backdrop for
adventure. Some of my classmates couldn't resist the temptation to try sandboarding, sliding
down the slopes with laughter echoing in the air but I didn’t tried it as I've seen several students
stumbled and got covered with sand, I don't want to ruin my outfit. The vast expanse of the sand
dunes and the breathtaking sunset painted the sky with vibrant hues, creating a magical ambiance
we will forever cherish. It’s a favorite destination of those who are into adrenaline-rush including
me. In a nutshell, visiting the sand dunes of Ilocos Norte is truly a must for those taking a
vacation in the said province.
With the day's adventures behind us, we yearned for a place of relaxation and tranquility.
Our destination was Pangil Beach Resort, nestled along the coastline of Currimao, Ilocos Norte.

We checked in and settled into our comfortable accommodations, eager to recharge and unwind.
We retired for the evening, looking forward to the continuation of our remarkable journey
through the wonders of Ilocos.
Day 2
Rising early on the second day, we embarked on an exhilarating adventure to explore the
untamed beauty of Ilocos Norte. Our first stop was the Cape Bojeador Lighthouse. Its majestic
presence and rich history as a guiding signal for sailors brought back memories of the past. We
were captivated by the panoramic view from the lighthouse as we watched the crashing waves
against the shore.
We headed back to Pangil Beach Resort to freshen up and prepare for the evening's
events. The most unforgettable experience for our 2nd day is in our Room with my roommates,
Room 204. We all went back to our rooms to get changed, we all felt that we need to go to toilet
to poop, we took turns. When it’s my turn, my roommate rushed me & told me that she can’t
take it anymore. Then I quickly go out of the toilet. Minutes have passed, she’s still in there and
we only have 10 minutes to get dressed. We asked if she’s gonna take long until she’s finished,
she said that “ayaw lumubog” we didn’t believe her until she showed us. We all laugh loudly, we
don’t know what to do, our other roommate felt the urge to poop but there’s still poop inside the
bowl, she had no choice but to poop. After that, we called the lobby to get our toilet fixed, we are
full of shame when the maintenance personnel came. After a few minutes, Kuya asked “Sabon
po ba ang nagbara dito ma’am?” when he clearly sees the poop there. We answered “Hindi po,
tae po”. I still remember how we laughed and talked about it all day long. My classmates even
told Sir JM and he laughed out loud and said he won’t forget our story. Our experience is quite
embarrassing but we’re happy that we are open to each other. Then a seminar about front office
operations awaited us at Playa Tropical Resort, a beautiful beachfront property in Currimao,
Ilocos Norte. The seminar provided valuable insights into the intricate workings of hotel front
office management, enhancing our knowledge and understanding of the hospitality industry.
Following the seminar, we gathered for a delightful dinner at Playa Tropical Resort.
As the evening wound down, we returned to Pangil Beach Resort, grateful for the day's
experiences and eager for the adventures that awaited us in the days to come. Reflecting on the

sights we had seen, the knowledge we had gained, and the friendships we had formed, we drifted
off to sleep, excited for what the next day of our Ilocos tour would bring.
Day 3
On the last day of our Ilocos tour, we woke up with mixed emotions as it marked the end
of our memorable adventure. After our breakfast at our hotel, we packed our belongings,
checked out, and loaded our bags into the tour bus.
Our first stop of the day was Batac Empanadahan, a renowned eatery in the municipality
of Batac. We had heard rave reviews about their delectable empanadas and couldn't miss the
chance to taste this local delicacy. We bit into the crispy crust, revealing a flavorful filling
bursting with local ingredients. The combination of savory longganisa, grated green papaya, egg,
and spices created a harmonious blend of tastes and textures. The empanadas were truly a
culinary delight, and we savored every bite, appreciating the skill and tradition behind this
beloved Ilocano dish. Our journey continued as we made our way to Vigan, a UNESCO World
Heritage Site and a city renowned for its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture. The
scenic drive allowed us to appreciate the picturesque landscapes and rural beauty of the region.
As we arrived in Vigan, we immediately felt transported back in time. Our tour began with a
leisurely walk along Calle Crisologo, a historic street filled with beautiful Spanish-era houses.
The architectural beauty of these well-preserved structures, with their intricate details and vibrant
colors, left us in awe. We took our time to admire the buildings, capturing photographs, buying
souvenirs and immersing ourselves in the city's rich history. After immersing ourselves in
Vigan's rich cultural heritage, it was time to satisfy our appetites with a delicious lunch. We
headed to Seafood Island, a renowned restaurant that specializes in fresh seafood dishes. To add
an exciting sidetrip to our day, we made a stop at a grape farm in La Union. The farm showcased
sprawling vineyards and offered visitors the opportunity to pick and taste fresh grapes. We
strolled through the vineyards, learning about the grape-growing process and enjoying the
natural beauty of the surroundings. It was a refreshing and unique experience, providing a
different perspective on the region's agricultural landscape.
As the day came to a close, we reflected on the incredible journey we had experienced
throughout our Ilocos tour. From the culinary delights of Batac Empanadahan to the architectural
wonders of Vigan and the unexpected grape farm sidetrip, each moment had contributed to our
unforgettable adventure. With hearts full of cherished memories and taste buds still savoring the
flavors of Ilocos, we boarded our transportation for the journey back home. As the landscapes
passed by, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the beauty, culture, and gastronomy we had
discovered in this remarkable region. In conclusion, a trip to Ilocos with our classmates promises
an exciting and unforgettable experience. Exploring the region's cultural, historical, and natural
attractions together creates lasting memories and strengthens bonds. This tour provided us the
break we needed from school but still learning. Ilocos offers a range of activities that cater to
different interests. From strolling through the charming streets of Vigan and admiring the
colonial architecture to visiting ancient churches and museums, there are ample opportunities to

IV. Recommendation
The tour was clearly and thoroughly presented during the school orientation, but there
were last-minute changes when the tour actually took place. We had expected to stay at the Playa
Tropical beach resort, but those changes caused us to stay at the Pangil Beach resort instead.
There was nothing we could do about it. The schedule that was provided to us didn't go as
expected. The travel agency's complications were worse than they appeared. We were given little
time to take pictures or explore after our tour, which was hurried. However, Ilocos has revealed
its multifaceted charm, embracing us with its cultural heritage, historical landmarks, breathtaking
natural wonders, and the genuine hospitality of its people.
