ORDERING INFORMATION
ROBOGUIDE V9 is FANUC America’s family of “PRO PC” software products. This PC software is available on
DVD (part number SFTROBOG9DVD) and by download from the FANUC America Customer Resource Center.
ROBOGUIDE products can be used for a fully functional 30-day trial period prior to license activation except
MotionPRO, DiagnosticsPRO, and 4DEdit, which have no trial period and require immediate license activation.
After the trial period, all ROBOGUIDE products require license activation. The ROBOGUIDE V9 DVD contains
installation and support files for the following FANUC America PC products

 OlpcPRO
 MotionPRO-MH
 PaintPRO
 PaintPRO Express

You must have administrator privileges to install AND license ROBOGUIDE.

Licenses for these PRO PC products are sold separately. A single license for each product activates that product
on one PC and licenses for more than one PRO PC product can be activated on the same PC. Licenses may be
transferred from one PC to another. Contact FANUC America to purchase these products.

NOTE: ROBOGUIDE V9 is a new product release. It is not a free upgrade from version V6.40, V7 orV8.

View the “readme.txt” and “Welcome.htm” files in the installation software as well as the embedded “Help”
information in the installed software for the latest details about your ROBOGUIDE product.

OS Requirements: Administrator Privileges to install product and register full version of software.
Normal font size (96DPI).
Port 3002 should not be used for other purpose.
Computer name must be A-Z, a-z, 0-9 or '-'.
Internet Explorer 6. Internet Explorer 8 or later recommended.
Version of Internet Explorer and OS in which the vision setup operation test was done is
different in each robot software version.
Please refer to [Vision Simulation/Restrictions] section of ROBOGUIDE online manual for
detail.
Other: Virtual PC, VMware and similar software are not supported.
Windows XP Mode of Windows 7 is not supported.
Remote desktop is not supported.
Windows RT is not supported.
Comma decimal separator is not supported.
Screen should be 96DPI.
You cannot use Guest account for ROBOGUIDE.
*Touch panel operation on Windows 8 is not supported.

Installing ROBOGUIDE on Windows 8/10 versions:

A prerequisite for the installation of ROBOGUIDE is the .NET 3.5 framework. The framework is considered to be a
Windows feature in Windows 8/10 versions, and therefore installed by the operating system.

When running the ROBOGUIDE installer on Windows 8/10 version*, the operating system will interrupt the
installer when the .NET 3.5 framework is being processed and prompt the user to obtain the files over the
Internet, or via the installation disk. If you have an Internet connection, select "Install this Feature" and proceed
with the installation. The ROBOGUIDE setup may need to be restarted after the installation of the .NET 3.5
framework. If you do not have an Internet connection, select "Skip this Installation".

To install the .NET 3.5 framework with the Windows 8/10 disk, go to the Windows start screen and right click on
any open space, selecting "All apps" on the menu at the bottom of the screen. On the Apps screen find the
"Windows System" group and right click on "Command Prompt". Select "Run as administrator". In the command
prompt window, type in the following:

DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:d:\sources\sxs

where "d" is the DVD drive that contains the Windows 8/10 disk

When the installation of the .NET 3.5 framework is complete, close the command prompt window and restart the
ROBOGUIDE setup to complete the ROBOGUIDE installation.

Note: Touch Panel operation on Windows 8/10 is not supported.

If the ROBOGUIDE installer fails immediately on Windows 8/10, please install the .NET 3.5 framework prior to
running the installer.

o Improve for robot preview function (translucent robot).
o Support for setting up binomial and offset using MoveTo tab of tool property page of robot.
o Support for setting to show robot tool when the tool is not selected.
- It is useful for double hand animation. (Please refer How to create animation to pick/drop

- It is also useful for fixed robot tool like hand camera that should be always visible.
o Support for function to disable mouse operations to objects (machine, fixture, and obstacle).
- For example, you can perform teaching easily by disabling mouse operation to a fence
that may hamper your teaching.
 Virtual teach pendant user interface improvement
o Resizing virtual iPendant screen is supported for R-30iB Plus.
 Support for remote iPendant
o You can use as additional virtual teach pendant.
 Move Object Dialog improvement to move or copy the mirror image of the selected object to Symmetrical
Location relative to the face or the origin of Base Frame.
 Other supports
o You can specify graphic memory size.
o You can adjust mouse operation sensitivity when rotating viewpoint in 3D world.
o Support for specifying whether to enable AVI logo.

 Virtual TP tabs are removed. To select [Current Position] or [Virtual Robot Settings], please use right click
menu.
 Some toolbar buttons (navigator, KCL, alarm and others) are removed. Please use menu instead of them.
 Menu, toolbar, cell browser, option window was arranged. Some item order is changed.
 [Normal-to-Surface] setting is moved from EOAT [UTOOL] tab to [MoveTo] tab.
 Moved AVI settings from Run Panel to Options page.
