INTRODUCTION

1.1 Overview
Without Printed Circuit Boards, our devices would not be able to function. They are essential in
connecting different components and allowing for communication between them. Additionally,
PCBs help protects these components from damage and interference. In a world where
everything is becoming more and more electronic, it’s important to have a component like the
PCB that can keep up with the demand. So next time you’re using your phone or computer, take
a second to appreciate the hidden Printed Circuit Board that’s making it all possible!

1.2 Necessity

Electronic circuit boards come in diverse types, sizes, and levels of sophistication. However, the
printed circuit board represents arguably the most popular in diverse sectors of the global
economy. Almost all electronic devices rely on PCBs to function. Its manufacturer, therefore,
becomes of central interest to any circuit board enthusiast. The quality of PCB products
correlates to the capability and pedigree of the PCB manufacturer. Therefore, understanding the
manufacturing process, types of services, and how to pick a top PCB provider becomes
necessary for your business.

Some essential steps of PCB design are as follows:

 Step 1: Designing the PCB

 Step 2: Design Review and Engineering Questions
 Step 3: Printing the PCB Design
 Step 4: Printing the Copper for the Interior Layer
 Step 5: Etch the Inner Layers or Core to Remove Copper
 Step 6: Layer Alignment
 Step 7: Automated Optical Inspection
 Step 8: Laminating the PCB Layers
 Step 9: Drilling
 Step 10: PCB Plating

 Step 11: Outer Layer Imaging
 Step 12: Outer Layer Etching
 Step 13: Outer Layer AOI
 Step 14: Solder Mask Application
 Step 15: Silkscreen Application
 Step 16: Finishing the PCB
 Step 17: Electrical Reliability Test
 Step 18: Profiling and Route Out
 Step 19: Quality Check and Visual Inspection
 Step 20: Packaging and Delivery

1.3 Objective
The main objective of this PCB Design internship is to understand the need of
electronic board/PCBs in today’s modern world. While designing a PCB, one can
actually know the end to end connection which we cannot view while using our
electronic devices. This skill will develop the quality of minute fabrication & will
enhance the point of view towards the world of PCB fabrication.

1.4 Problem Statement

Fabrication of an PCB to achieve a controlled system which is able to perform an
desired operation. Mounting of essential active & passive components on an printed
circuit board, which can also be a zero PCB.

Li-ion batteries into its products. Moreover this company provides PAN India delivery
with free shipping.

2.3 Assigned Department

Assigned department was of Assembly Unit.

2.4 Overview of Department

As an intern, I was primarily posted into the assembly unit of Ryolite Industries. This
department especially has the task of assembling the active and passive components such as
resisters, capacitors, and many other controlled circuits onto a manufactured PCB and mount
this using shouldering iron and paste. After the assembling of this components, the PCB is next
passed to Quality check department, where the assembly is tested and verified.

2.5 Contribution to the Company/ Department

Worked in PCB assembling unit under guidance of Department incharge, Mr. S.B.
Bhandare. I contributed to the department by doing the following work:
