DEVELOPMENTAL TASK ( Erik Erickson)

Erik Erikson's developmental tasks place the patient in the sixth stage. Because
the patient is between the ages of 19 and 40, she is in the sixth stage, which is
intimacy and isolation. At this stage, a person's major conflict focuses on forming
intimate, loving relationships with others. Having healthy relationships is
critical for an individual's emotional and physical well-being. During this
psychosocial stage, an individual focuses on how important it is to form
relationships. As people mature, intimate relationships become more important in
their lives and have a significant impact on their well-being.

The sixth stage of development emphasizes the importance of an individual's

involvement in relationships, work, and the community. Failure to achieve the stage
of intimacy vs isolation, according to Erikson's theory, will result in loneliness,
poor romantic relationships, and no deep intimacy. Erikson also proposed that a
person who completes this stage of development will be able to form strong and deep
relationships, close relationships with friends and family, and a social support
system, (Malone J. et. al., 2015)

Concerning the patient, she is still in the sixth stage of Erikson's developmental
task. The patient and her partner have established a solid foundation of love. The
patient also has several social support networks, including family and friends.
According to the patient, she has a close relationship with her family and, despite
having her own family, she never forgets to maintain her relationship with her
parents and siblings.
