1. Based on the information from exercise 3 Module 6 EXPRESSING
SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES, use the following adjectives (noisy-clean-
expensive-dirty-crowed-polluted-large-old-quite-modern-interesting) to compare a
big city and a small town. Then which one is better to live. Why? Give explanations
and reasons. You can also use more adjectives if you need.
R/: If you are thinking of going to live in a city or town, I am going to let you know some
of its advantages and disadvantages.
Living in a city brings you benefits in terms of greater employment opportunities, services
and facilities at hand and greater real estate offer, some of its disadvantages are: pollution
and noise, mobility problems and higher cost of living.
By living in a town you can enjoy a cheaper standard of living, cheaper housing, a better
quality of life, and less pollution, but you will also have connectivity problems, a scarce
commercial offer, and fewer job opportunities.
