Introduction
We are living in an era where the devaluation of human life and the sin of abortion are destroying our nations. In every
ethnic group, we see the devaluation and destruction of beings created in the image of God, from the unborn child to the
elderly. Even more alarming is the fact that this is occurring both within the church and in the secular world.

The destruction of human lives hurts the heart of our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit is awakening the church, making
it recognize the transgression to the sanctity of human life, against those that He created in His own image. Forgiveness
and redemption are available to the entire world through the shed blood of Jesus; and God is inviting us to join him in
his redemptive work! God is redeeming, healing and restoring hearts and lives that have been hurt by abortion and we can
join Him in this life-giving work in all nations.

Training "The Journey of the Servant Giver of Life"

The Life-Giving Servant Journey is an international training curriculum designed to equip pastors and other Christian
leaders in the message of the sanctity of human life. This curriculum is based on the Word of God and therefore is
universal in nature, adaptable to any region in the world where human life is devalued or despised, especially through
abortion.

The Pioneer Initiative in Prayer

“If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
(2 Chronicles 7:14)

A crucial component for the success of the Training of pastors and other Christian leaders, is to place prayer as a
cornerstone of the event. Approximately 30 days before the event, a Precursor Prayer Initiative is coordinated with the
purpose of generating intercessory prayer for the people who will attend the training; and in accordance with God's wishes
that life-giving activities be established in that region.

Prayer, intercession, and adoration are spiritual weapons that God has given to the church to rise up and resist the
tricks and plans of the enemy that seeks to impede the work of God (Ephesians 6:10-20). The prayer also prepares
the hearts of those attending the Journey of the Life-Giving Servant training to receive Biblical truths about the sanctity of
human life, which transforms a person's perspective on abortion.

In Luke 3:4-6 we see John the Baptist preparing the way for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. In a similar way,
the Pioneering Prayer Initiative will pave the way, through prayer, for the Word of truth to be revealed in the hearts of
attendees for transformation.

Note: How to Arrange Chairs To

promote dialogue between attendees and hosts/leaders, all participants should, to the extent possible, be seated in a
circle. If the venue or the size of the group prevents this, arrange the chairs in a way that people can see each other.
Avoid placing them in rows of chairs where people are looking at each other's backs.

Exercise:
1. The host(s) and leaders introduce themselves to the group, giving brief information about themselves: name, country
where they live (if different from the host nation), prayer activities in which they actively participate.

2. Invite the participants to introduce themselves, giving the same information that the hosts gave.
3. Ask the participants to answer the following questions in order to find out about the prayer activities that are currently
happening in their communities and churches:
• What are the things you pray for? What motivates you to pray? • Why do
you pray? What do you think prayer will accomplish? • What
is the role of Scripture in your prayer time?
4. Discuss with the group about the different answers. Remember that there are no “right or wrong” answers.
wrong”. This discussion simply helps us establish the starting point for the activities that we will have in the next day and
a half.

The Goals of the Pioneer Prayer Initiative Learning how to

pray (“1. Bow your head. 2. Close your eyes. 3. Kneel.” etc.) is not a goal of the Pioneer Prayer Initiative. The main goal is
to interact with each other about what we pray for and find out together what we should pray about in regards to the upcoming
Life-Giving Servant's Journey training .

God has placed those attending the Life-Giving Servant Journey training in positions of authority and leadership, and there is a high
calling on them to uphold the sanctity of human life. Some participants in the Pioneering Prayer Initiative may share this call,
however, the goal of this initiative is to intercede on behalf of those attending the Journey of the Life-Giving Servant
training and for the event itself.

Upon completion of the Pioneering Prayer Initiative, participants will be able to: 1.
Recognize and express the need for intercessory prayer as the first phase of the training.
Journey of the Servant Giver of Life.
2. Be prepared to share with others the basic theology of the sanctity of human life.
3. Carry the vision and be commissioned to intercede before, during and after the training
Journey of the Servant giver of Life.
4. Develop a prayer plan along with a guide that will help you keep the event in focus
center of the sentence Then, they will begin to pray together.
5. Identify essential factors such as:
to. Biblical Foundations of Life
b. The reality of Abortion worldwide and regional c. Content
of the training The Journey of the Servant Giver of Life
6. Have the opportunity to experience a personal transformation

Education and awareness are valuable tools for preparing intercessors and getting them to commit to their God-given
pioneering role. Your prayers will be more focused and your heart will be moved to pray more frequently when you understand
the real needs you face. This is the reason why a large part of the time of the Pioneering Prayer Initiative will be dedicated to
discussing the issues that your nation faces regarding the sanctity of life, and from there we will plan a concrete strategy
to strengthen their intercessory work in favor of and in anticipation of the training The Servant's Journey

giver of life. You have been invited to participate in this Pioneering Prayer Initiative because you have been identified as a person
who believes and demonstrates the power of prayer in your daily walk. The Pioneering Prayer Initiative is an opportunity to meet
like-minded intercessors and are therefore likely to achieve your intended results.

Every Follower of Christ is on a Life Journey The training

curriculum The Life-Giving Servant Journey bears that name because a unique part of every pastor's and/or Christian leader's
journey is a move toward understanding the heart of God, as it relates to the matter of human life, and learn how to share His heart
with other believers. Each person is at a different level in their journey, but by the time this training has been planned, the host
is knowledgeable enough to recognize that it is vitally important to bring together regional leaders, so that they are equipped
to promote life-giving ministries in their communities and nations.

This journey is not limited to pastors and leaders in the church! Every believer in Christ has been led, by the Holy Spirit of
God, to a specific action. (Even the new believer, at the very least, has responded to God's call to surrender his life to Him.) As
believers mature and learn to discern the voice of God's Holy Spirit, they can better recognize when He guides, shows, directs,
and sometimes urges them to act, to take the next step in their own journey .

Exercise:
1. The host of the Pioneering Prayer Initiative can take about 10 minutes to share their
journey of recognizing the meaning of the sanctity of human life and how this message integrates with the Gospel
message. Note: This testimony is not intended to cover the host's conversion story but to highlight the moment
when God revealed to him the vital need to value all human life.

2. The host must answer the group these questions: • What has
God shown you and put on your heart? • How did this all start and what led
you to take this important step? • Why is it important for you to have the Journey of the Life-
Giving Servant training?
What do you think can be achieved in your region?

A simple way to “let your light shine in front of other people” is to tell your own story, your own journey. Trust the Lord that He
will use your story to accomplish His purposes in other people's lives; And it may be that by doing so, He will show you something
new! Sometimes you may feel that other people's story is “better” than your own: more compelling, more inspiring, more redemptive,
more uplifting. But, that's not true, his story is unique! And any story that includes an encounter with Jesus will be redemptive and
encouraging to other people, because each of us has been individually lifted out of the miry mire and our feet have been placed
on the rock (Psalm 40)!

that God teaches us about His creation and the value of human life.
• Genesis 1:27 “And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created
them. • Psalms 139:13-16 “For you formed my inward parts; You made me in my mother's belly. I will praise you; for
formidable, marvelous are your works; I am amazed, and my soul knows it very well. My body was not hidden from you,
well that I was formed in secret, and woven in the depths of the earth.
My embryo saw your eyes, and in your book were written all those things that were later formed, without missing one of
them."

• Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I sanctified you, I gave you as a
prophet to the nations.”
• Genesis 9:7 “But you be fruitful and multiply; procreate abundantly on earth, and multiply in it."

• John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him should

Introduction
The Bible teaches that when God created man, he created him in the image and likeness of God: “And God created man in his own
image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:26-27). The fundamental principle of this
truth is also the moral and practical principle for the protection and defense of human life at every age and in every stage of life. All
human life has equal dignity and immeasurable value from conception to natural death because man is made in the image
of God.

"Then Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living
being." (Genesis 2:7). Man is a unique being because God breathed the breath of life directly into him; this is not true of any other
living creature. Also, the human being is distinguished from the animals by his spiritual perception and by having consciousness;
both characteristics come directly from God.

Men and women also have intellectual, emotional, moral, and spiritual characteristics; and they are beings that will never cease to
exist. All these attributes are a reflection of the characteristics that God possesses. God's image is also reflected in every virtue of
our character: love, faithfulness, justice, righteousness, patience, gentleness, kindness, humility, forgiveness, mercy, and grace.

The Bible speaks clearly of God's sovereignty over all of His creation, but it makes a special distinction about humanity—men
and women—for we are the only beings created in the image of God. (This distinction is not only for followers of Christ, but
extends to every member of the human race.) Each of us has been created by God for a purpose (Psalm 100:3, Psalm 139:13–16a) ,
and He has a plan for our lives, which began at conception, which is the first moment of our existence (Jeremiah 1:4–5).

Exercise:
1. Divide the participants into groups of 3-5 people.
2. Have each small group discuss and respond to the following questions: • How would you
define “sanctity of human life?” Write a short definition. • What are some ways that human
life is devalued in your community or nation? • What is currently being done to address these issues? • What do
you think is the responsibility of the body of Christ and the role it should
play in dealing with these problems? • Are there transgressions to human life in which the church should not interfere
because they are out of
its control?
responsibility?
3. Assign a secretary in each group to write down the most important points of the discussion.
4. Bring the group back together and ask for a representative from each small group to share their reflections
with the whole group.

Every Human Being has the Same Value Our

value before God is the same, regardless of the differences between us: sex, age, skin color, ethnic identity, caste or tribe,
religion, language, nationality, level of intelligence , stratum and social class, or other factors. All human life is made in the image
of God and therefore must be respected, treated with dignity, protected, preserved, nurtured, and prospered—not disrespected,
despised, devalued, abandoned, diminished, discarded, or killed.

Every human life is valuable from the moment of conception and our value extends throughout our entire existence. Just as an
act of violence against the sick, the weak, people with special abilities or the elderly constitutes an offense against God; likewise
it is an act of violence against the child in the womb.

“And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27).
Men and women are both bearers of the image of God, therefore both have equal dignity and value.
One is the male God-image , the other is the female God-image . Although men and women have different roles in the family,
different levels of physical strength, and different ways of thinking and feeling about many things; both are bearers of the image
of God and therefore have the same value.

Treating women as if they are somehow less valuable than men is a big problem in many countries. To treat a woman as if she
were somehow less valuable than a man is to disrespect a person made in the image of God. Christian men, especially in
countries where men hold power and authority, should lead the way, demonstrating proper treatment of women, treating their
wives and all other women as equals; that is, in a pious, honorable and respectful way.

session 3

The Missionary Field Created by Abortion

Abortion is present and is practiced in all the nations of the world; and more than forty million unborn children are aborted every year
in the world. Although abortion is the most obvious and extreme attack on the sanctity of human life, there are several other ways
in which human life is devalued. During this session the participants will analyze the reality of abortion worldwide; as
well as the specific ways in which human life is devalued within their communities and nation.

Recommended time for this session: 60 minutes

The Participant will be

able to: 1. Recognize how abortion is an offense against God and against the unborn child.
2. Identify the ways in which abortion leads to a greater devaluation and decrease of human life.
3. Understand what the Biblical response to abortion is.
