6-3 REPLACEMENT OF SHAFT-ASS'Y

1) Remove COVER-SCREW 2EA (Left, Right) by using a

(-) driver and remove a screw 2EA (Left, Right) securing
CONTROL-PANEL by using a (+) driver and then lift
CONTROL PANEL by pushing it from right to left.
2) Remove screws ( 2EA in rear, 2EA in front) securing
TOP-COVER and lift TOP-COVER ASS'Y backward.
3) Remove 4 screws securing COVER-TUB.
4) Remove PULSATOR-CAP by using driver and pushing it
up() between PULSATOR - CAP + PULSATOR.
- Put it in dent 1 and fix it up pushing 2.

5) Remove a bolt securing the PULSATOR using 12mm SADDLE

box driver.
6) Remove a nut securing ASS'Y SPIN BASKET and
SHAFT by using a ZIG box driver and remove ASS'Y
SPIN BASKET. SADDLE

* NUT lock : Dockwise

NUT lock : Counter-clockwise
SHAFT
7) Lay down the washing machine so that the front of OUT-
CASE faces upward and remove 4 bolts securing
SADDLE by using a 10mm box driver. MOTOR
* Be careful not to cause damage or scratch to the
washing machine when you lay it down to the floor.
8) Remove 4 bolts securing SHAFT by using a 10mm box
driver and take SHAFT-ASS'Y OUT.

* Assembling is in reverse order as disassembling.

Points to check after replacing ASS'Y SHAFT

1. Check if TOOTH is joined by 3.5mm~5.5mm depth to the

blades of SLEEVE while the washing is in operation.
(with Drain Motor OFF)
* If the joining depth is not deep enough, there may be a 3.5~5.5mm(ENGAGING DISTANCE)
problem during washing. (The Condition During Washing)

2. Check if TOUCH maintains at least 1.0mm distance from

the edge of SLEEVE during spinning. (with Drain Motor OFF)
* If the distance is not far enough, it may cause noises
and other problems during spinning.

OVER 1.0mm(ENGAGING DISTANCE)

(The Condition During Spining)

5. TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS
- As the structure of the automatic micro-computer washing machine is comparatively complicated, there
are service calls even if not defective. This section provides the information for exact trouble diagnosis
and suitable repair guide to help customers.

5-1 CAUTIONS FOR THE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT

Please follow the instructions below for trouble diagnosis and parts replacement.

1) As the electric components are easily damaged by the electric charge from the resin part of the
washing machine or the human body, be sure to ground or remove the potential difference between
the human body and the washing machine by touching once the power supply plug if you need to
contact PCB parts for servicing.

Power Plug Earth Strap

2) As the parts on PCB are coated by urethane, they can not be tested by using the test bar of the
meter. Check the normality by using the test mode method and then diagnose the trouble in an
appropriate procedure.

5-2 TROUBLESHOOTING

5-2-1 TROUBLESHOOTING - CONTROL PANEL

5-2-2 TROUBLESHOOTING - DRIVING UNIT

2. Water Supply does not stop and the washing process does not start either.

4. Pulsator does not rotate.

6. Abnormal sounds are heard during washing.
