INTRODUCTION
Well-being is more than happiness and life satisfaction. Overall physical wellness encourages the
balance of physical activity, nutrition and mental well-being to keep your body in top condition. Obtaining an
optimal level of physical wellness allows you to nurture personal responsibility for your own health.
This year, the Schools Division of Laguna lanched its “SOCIO-CULTURAL DYNAMICS AND
WELL_BEING for teaching and Non-Teaching personnels of different schools and sub-offices in Laguna. This
is a whole-year activity that encourages teachers to engage to physical exercises and activities specifically
Zumba and Wellness Dance Exercises.
For many, the trouble is finding time and motivation to eat healthy and exercise. After spending eight
hours at work and then juggling all the other responsibilities that come with being an adult, we often don’t make
the effort to take care of ourselves like we should. To help combat this and to address additional health
concerns, many workplaces now offer wellness programs to employees.
OBJECTIVES:
Achieve healthy physical body and Great for weight loss.
Tone the entire body.
Boosts your heart health.
Helps teacher and other personnel to de-stress
Improves coordination.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Teaching and Non Teaching personnel actively participate in the Zumba and wellness activity as
scheduled by the Schools division office of Laguna.
BEST PRACTICES:
We usually incorporate this activity in our school plans in promoting good health and well-being
through the initiative of MAPED Department in connection to their CIP Project FIVE or Fighting Illness
Through Vigorous Exercise.
PROBLEM MET:
Time and schedule were really hard due to our shfting classes.
SOLUTION MADE:
The teachers who were vacant were given the opportunity to participate.
WAYS FORWARD/RECOMMENDATIONS:
The school will continue promoting good health and wellness to teachers, learners and staff through
theses kind of activities that will help them lower their stress in some way.
