Moving-up Ceremony Closing Prayer

by Raizel Arabella Misluhani

Let us all bow our heads and feel the presence of our benevolent Lord. In the name of the Father,
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

As we end our solemnity on this blessed day, we praise our Father, Who is filled with great
compassion. You are our source of strength and giver of everything. We adore Your gracious
love and healing that bring us peace from wars of hatred. Together with Your begotten son, Jesus
Christ, who continues to wash away the sins of the world. Jesus inspires us to be better brothers
and sisters. Therefore, we will continue to follow and do good in all things under Your shared
wisdom.

While we look back on our faults from misunderstandings, failures, and disagreements, we ask
for forgiveness for the negativity and hurt we brought. We take responsibility for what we caused
as such to our loved ones. Through the power of Christ, forgive us, and may we ameliorate these
shortcomings using the guidance of our Almighty Father.

This ceremony is a success since no effort was wasted because of our trust in You. Now we
recall our undying gratitude for the blessings that has bestowed upon us. First of all, it would not
be possible to finish our studies without the privilege you have given us to gain knowledge and
learn at an excellent school. Thank you for the lessons of respect, friendship, and trust that
helped us throughout the year. Even with an ongoing pandemic and the everyday events of going
to school and returning safely home, your protection is truly appreciated. To every single
achievement we accomplished, we owe it to Your greatness. If there is strong faith, everything is
achievable in Your name.

Now we move on to the next challenges, we humbly ask for your guiding light, that may shine
the path we must take during times we are faced with difficult choices. May you protect us
graduates as we go on our separate boats and sail on a new sea. It may not be a smooth sail in
following our dreams, but we hope to learn from the journey. As well as our parents, families,
teachers, and school staff, may you provide them strength when they need it. Allow our suffering
brothers and sisters in the healing comfort of Your arms and accept those who have fallen ill into
Your sacred Heaven while guiding their families. We trust in Your timely plans and blessings in
helping us find our purpose in this meaningful life; may You extend us time to repay our loved
ones and obtain a feeling of success in the future. Give us all an open mind as we move forward,
full of hope and trust in the long embrace of God.

Through the same Christ, our Lord, Amen.
