Ignite
You have just enacted how an action is carried out. The words given above tell us
more about each verb. Words that tell us more about the verb are called Adverbs.
Adverbs tell us more about a verb. They answer the questions, how? where?
when? or how often?
Ÿ Adverb of manner tells us how an action takes place.
These adverbs often end in ly but not always.
Example:
My mother sings sweetly.
The children laughed happily.
Example:
We played outside.
My friend is sitting there.

Example:
My father will return soon.
I go to school in the morning.
Example:
I go to the park every Sunday.
We have assembly every morning.
