AIRY WATER is a Sor/Wiz 5 spell in STORMWRACK, which requires CL 9th.


Since the spell normally has a duration of 10 minutes/level, the price is
calculated at Spell Level (5) x CL (9) x 2000 gp = 90,000 gp price.
Multiplying that by 1.5 = 135,000 gp for the continuous effect. Then
halving that to 67,500 gp to create.

Assumes this item is functionally identical to the one presented in the


DMG.

DMG guideline (page 286) states that the formula for an AC bonus other
than deflection is Bonus_Squared x 2,500 gp for market price. This comes
to 25 x 2,500 = 62,500. Typically, this would be halved for item-creation,
but then it has to be doubled for not occupying an item-slot, so the cost to
create IS 62,500 gp.

DMG guideline (page 286) states that SR costs 10,000 gp per point of SR
over 12; as 21-12 = 9, that prices the item at 90,000 gp total, which is
45,000 gp to create.
RING OF WIZARDRY III in DMG costs 35,000 gp to create; doubling cost for
the stone not occupying an item-slot.
RING OF WIZARDRY IV in DMG costs 50,000 gp to create; doubling cost for
the stone not occupying an item-slot.
MEDALLION OF THOUGHTS in DMG costs 6,000 gp to create; doubling cost
for the stone not occupying an item-slot.
GLOVES OF DEXTERITY +6 in DMG cost 18,000 gp to create; doubling cost
for the stone not occupying an item-slot.
BROOCH OF SHIELDING in DMG costs 750 gp to create; doubling cost for
the stone not occupying an item-slot.

Deflection bonuses in DMG are Bonus_Squared x 2,000 gp; 5 squared is 25


x 2,000 gp = 50,000 gp for price; half that to create is 25,000 gp.
PERIAPT OF WISDOM +6 in DMG costs 18,000 gp to create; doubling cost
for the stone not occupying an item-slot.
Assuming Larloch's version is identical to that in the DMG with the same
limitations (50 total spell levels)

RING OF COUNTERSPELLS in DMG costs 2,000 gp to create; RING OF


EVASION in DMG costs 12,500 gp to create; RING OF INVISIBILITY in DMG
costs 10,000 gp to create; RING OF SPELL-TURNING in DMG costs 49,140
to create. The overall total is 73,640 gp; doubling cost for the stone not
occupying an item-slot.

The PALE GREEN PRISM IOUN STONE in the DMG provides only a +1
competence bonus to these rolls/checks, and costs 15,000 gp to craft.
Extrapolating from the "bonus squared" rules in the DMG, this suggests
that crafting such an item to provide +5 competence bonuses instead
would cost 375,000 gp.
Assumes this item is subject to the same limitations as the one in the
DMG.

A PEARL OF POWER in the DMG that allows recall of a single 9th-level spell
costs 40,500 gp to create. Triple that to allow the recall of three 9th level
spells = 121,500 gp. Then double that number for the stone not occupying
an item-slot.
BOOTS OF SPEED in DMG cost 6,000 gp to create; doubling cost for the
stone not occupying an item-slot.

A standard RING OF REGENERATION in the DMG costs 45,000 gp to craft


and uses the regenerate spell; presuming that a negative energy-version
of that spell is used to allow undead to benefit the same way for the same
cost and doubling the cost for the stone not occupying an item-slot, the
cost to craft this stone should be 90,000 gp.

Non-resistance bonuses to saves in DMG are Bonus_Squared x 2,000 gp; 5


squared is 25 x 2,000 gp = 50,000 gp for price; half that to create is 25,000
gp.
HEADBAND OF INTELLECT +6 in DMG costs 18,000 gp to create; doubling
cost for the stone not occupying an item-slot.
HELM OF TELEPORTATION in DMG costs 36,750 gp to create; doubling cost
for the stone not occupying an item-slot.

Based on cost of VIBRANT PURPLE PRISM IOUN STONE in the DMG, the
formula appears to be Spell Level squared x 4,000 gp (the DMG version
stores 3 levels of spells and is priced at 36,000 gp (18,000 gp to create). 6
squared is 36, x 4,000 gp = 144,000 gp, so half that to create is 72,000 gp.
