To prevent the further spread of the Corona Virus Disease-2019(COVID-19)

pandemic in the Philippines, the government has imposed a number of restrictions.

The continuation of the academic year was also put into question. For instructors,

students, and even parents, learning in the new status quo is a struggle.

According to the Department of Education Secretary, “Education must continue”. To

how they used to in the traditional method of learning. Some also have said that
the internet connectivity is also a question. Through this, the rsearchers conclude
that aside from the method of learning that is not applicable to students who are
used and comfortable on social and physical learning, the internet connectivity is
also a question that makes procrastination normal and that the quality education
rating of Gingoog City Colleges declining.

VI. Recommendation

Based on the above findings, the researchers recommend that: 1. The school

administration must implement learning recovery program, such as limited face-to-

face classes to ensure that those students who were left behind will receive the support

they need to catch up to every expected learning targets. 2. Educators must conduct

home visitation thrice a month to ensure that students are not neglecting and are doing

their respective task's on their own. 3. Educators must record every meeting

discussion and upload it to any social media platform to make sure that those students

who were not able to join the meeting will still have the chance to know and

understand the lesson. 4. Instructors should communicate and follow-up students

progress from time to time. Parents has the most important role in their child's

development, that's why instructors must also communicate to the parents all the time

to follow up and monitor the children's progress. 5. Every teacher must give a special

exam for those students who were not able to take it on time so that the student won't

be discouraged in continuing his/her study.
