    What can you tell me about your product?

    For most people, all you really have to know about Alexa is that it’s the name of the voice that
    comes out of Alexa-enabled speakers. Basically, Alexa is to Amazon what Siri is to Apple. When
    you ask Alexa a question, what you’re doing is communicating with a cloud-based service. Amazon
    has designed the Alexa Voice Service (AVS) to mimic real conversations, but you’re actually using
    intuitive voice commands to get this service to perform specific tasks. “Alexa” is simply the “wake
    word” that alerts the service to start listening to your voice. For most devices, you just have to say
    the wake word to get a response.

    Who is designed for?

    Alexa was created by Rohit Prasad, along with colleague Tony Reid. Prasad has been serving as the
    Vice President and Head Scientist in Alexa Artificial Intelligence since May 2016.

    What it is for?

    It is capable of voice interaction, music playback, making to-do lists, setting alarms, streaming
    podcasts, playing audiobooks, and providing weather, traffic, sports, and other real-time
    information, such as news. Alexa can also control several smart devices using itself as a home
    automation system.

    What special characteristic does it has?

    Some of the skills or special characteristics are:

    Alexa Guard turns your Echo smart speakers into security devices, listening for signs of trouble
    such as glass breaking or your smoke alarm going off. Your Alexa app will then notify you when it
    hears anything suspicious, which might be faster when you're out of the house.

    Use Alexa as a personal trainer Alexa can whip your behind into shape with the 7-minute-workout
    skill. If you say, "Alexa, start 7-minute workout," the virtual assistant will suggest reportedly tested
    exercises that will increase your metabolism, improve your energy and remove fat. The best part:
    You can take breaks when you need them.

    Alexa also can: check your credit card balance, find your favorite restaurants, clean your
    apartment, get help in emergencies, start your car, turn your lights on or off, and many others
    skills.

    How much it cost?

    HomePod will cost you $349 compared to $179.99 for an Amazon Echo.
