NARRATIVE REPORT ON
AWARENESS AND OUTREACH
PROGRAM
The Republic of the Philippines is one of most exposed countries in
the world to many “natural” hazards: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions,
tsunami, lahar flows, typhoons, flooding, landslides, and sea level rise.
Earthquake risks make Metro Manila especially vulnerable, due to the high
population density and the poor quality of buildings, partly linked to
corruption (Boquet, 2017). Also, the Philippines is also experiencing much
environmental degradation—mainly in the form of deforestation,
soil erosion, disruption of hydrological systems, over-exploitation of
fisheries, destruction of coral reefs, and extinction of species.

Restoring of what we lost is one of the vital tasks which one of us

must be fulfilled. We are all aiming a greenish and clean environment. We
are all aiming to raise environmental awareness in reducing the greenhouse
gases and fight climate change. Also by this means, we can help improving
the quality of the natural environment. Having fresh air to breath, greenish
surroundings and clean water is essential to have a healthy living.
Unfortunately, nowadays, we are facing a big difference from a clean into a
polluted environment. As we all know, we are experiencing lots of
environmental issues such as floods, climate change, pollution and many
more.

As part of setting the mind of the well-being of future generation, the

pupils of Tranca Elementary School participated in the various ways of
reducing different environmental issues. The new normal set up amidst
pandemic is not a hindrance in fulfilling their initiative to help saving our
Mother Earth.

Enclosed herewith are the photos which manifestly show the

participation and cooperation of the pupils of Tranca Elementary School.
