RESEARCH TITLE: The Impacts of social media affecting People’s mindset

during the pandemic

PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Social media refers to computer-based technology that facilitates the sharing of

ideas, thoughts, studies, and knowledge through virtual networks and communities.

Almost half the population around the world these days is using the internet regularly.

Social media has modified the manner we interact with each other online. It gives us

the power to discover what’s happening in the world in real time. In lots of senses,

social media has helped many individuals discover standing with others online –

making the world seem more approachable. The term social media-originated as how

to interact with friends and family but was later adopted by businesses.

Social media is employed by one-third of the population worldwide and makes it

crystal clear how much society is being influenced by it. How social media is

employed by children teenagers to old age everyone has addicted to it. In a workplace
context, social media has also been used as a communication tool for internal

communication within the organization (Moqbel et al.,2020).

In terms of studying, the review sought to look at how societal norms have

evolved during this time. We also discussed the essential elements of the emotional

response to the pandemic, including how internal and external factors, including

personality traits, gender, the media, the economy, and therefore the response of the

government, affect how society views the pandemic and therefore the psychological

effects of the current situation.

Social media features a bigger effect on mental health the earlier teens start

using it. Particularly for ladies, this is often true. Although teenage boys frequently

act out their aggression physically, people are rarely Persuaded to prevent using social

media just by being told that it's harmful to them. If one uses social media

responsibly, for a limited period of your time, and without exceeding that time

restriction, being active there's not all that bad for us it only makes us less social and

has negative impacts on our internal and mental health.

Kids who are battling self-doubt read into their friends' images of what they

feel they are lacking. They're more likely to interpret images of peers having fun as

confirmation that they are doing badly compared to their friends, says Dr. Emanuele

(2022).
