QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:
• At least 2 -3 years working experience as a Plumber preferably in Mining Industry, Petrochemical
Industry, Brewery Industry or Urban water supply and sewage Authority.
• Learn, understand, and follow AGA Health, Safety and Security Policies and Procedures.
• Check water pipelines and leakages in pumps
• Inspect and check bearing and replace when needed
• Ensure that the sprinkler system is working effectively
• Assembling and fittings of various plant equipments (pumps, valves, and pipes) to improve mine site
infrastructure performance
• Perform scheduled inspections on pumps and mine site infrastructure systems
• Performs ad hoc maintenance works on pumps and pipe works
• Manage plumbing installations at company houses, ablutions, kitchens, workshops
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Be able to carry tasks with minimum supervision
• Be able to understand instructions both in Swahili and English languages

EXPERIENCE:
• 3 - 5 years’ extensive experience in construction industry (Civil & Building works).
• At least 3 years working experience in Social Infrastructure projects/CSR Projects or PPP Projects
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental Policies of Geita Gold Mine and Tanzania Laws guiding
construction and mining industry.
• Analyse technical site survey reports, maps, drawings, soil report and another data prior to project
execution.
• Ensure executed company projects are completed on schedule, within budget and at agreed
technical specifications.
• Analyse technical test reports to determine the adequacy and strength of concrete structures, steel
structures, and other related structures to ensure design specifications and requirements.
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety
or environmental standards
• Direct or participate with survey team to establish reference points to guide construction works.
• Provide technical advice and design to GGML CSR Projects.
• Participate in technical interrelation with GGML CSR project team in cost to design budget analysis
prior to project approval and execution.
• Provide technical advice to the Project and Earthwork Superintendent and Social Economic
Development Manager regarding to design, construction, or program of works to ensure projects
have Value for Money.
• Conduct studies and Project Risk Analysis for CSR projects to identify engineering problems and
assess the potential impact of projects and their sustainability
• Prepare CSR project scopes and project requirements in collaboration of other internal and external
stakeholders including engineering specifications for tendering purposes
• Participate on Pre-Bid conferences to review contract requirements and project scope as well as
resolving technical queries
• Provide technical advice to the Project and Earthwork Superintendent and Social Economic
Development Manager on procurement methods on CSR projects
• Prepare and implement QA/QC programs to ensure CSR projects have value for money

EXPERIENCE:
• 5-10 years of direct experience in substation design, Operational and Maintenance ranging from
415kV to 33kV, including STATCOM and Power Factor Correction Equipment.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Security Policies of Geita Gold Mine and Tanzania Laws guiding electrical
standards and mining industry.
• Co-ordinate all substation maintenance activities to ensure reliability of electrical equipment
• Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as equipment sizing,
relay coordination, earthing including Gas Insulation Systems, electrical analysis, and studies.
• Communicate and coordinate operation, maintenance and project activities with Electrical team and
other stakeholders including TANESCO and Power station O&M contractor.
• Specification development for the procurement, installation, and testing of substations equipment.
• Perform/Supervise test, repair, modification, or changes of substation equipment including
STATCOMS, SWITCHGEARS, POWER FACTOR CORRECTION and associated components.
• Review new substation and other electrical design plans, shop drawings and Equipment installations
and make recommendation or changes for approval to Electrical Superintendent.
• Coordinate Switching of Transmission and Distribution lines during normal and emergency operating
conditions.
• Establishing operation plans and procedure and assist in power restoration after power systems
disturbances.
• Creating detailed engineering scope documents from a high-level functional document.
• Complete special projects as assigned by Electrical Superintendent.
• Prepare and submit technical reports and other related reports related to Electrical Power Systems
to Electrical Superintendent.
• Assist Electrical superintendent with monitoring, tracking, controlling, and reporting on projects
performances, including progress against scope, cost and schedule ensuring successful completion
of project milestones to plan.
• Ensure compliance with all Electrical and other engineering standards in substations operations
mine wide.
• Identify training and development needs for electricians.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Extensive knowledge of installation, operation, and maintenance of Electrical power systems from
415V to 33kV, including Switchgears, Transformers, RMUs, STATCOM, Power Factor correction
etc.
• Extensive knowledge in principles, practices and techniques of electrical engineering related to
power systems.
• Ability to determine and implement appropriate solution in emergency situations and power systems
abnormal conditions.
• Considerable knowledge of appropriate supervisory techniques and skills to manage group of
subordinates.
• Ability to communicate concisely orally and in writing.
