elsewhere in the United States.King gained national prominence as leader of the Southern
Christian Leadership Conference. and promoted non-violent tactics such as the Mass March on
Washington (1963) to strengthen civil rights. he won the nobel peace prize

King came from a wealthy middle-class family in the Southern black pastoral tradition. Both his
father and grandfather were Baptist preachers. His parents both attended college, and King's
father succeeded his father-in-law as pastor of the prestigious Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.
The family lived on Auburn Avenue, also known as "Sweet Auburn," a bustling "Black Wall Street,"
home to some of the largest and most successful black businesses and churches at the ti

At Morehouse, King preferred to study medicine and law, but in his senior year he was
overshadowed by his decision to join the Ministry, as his father had insisted. King's mentor at
Morehouse was college president Benjamin Mays, a social evangelist whose proli c eloquence
and progressive ideas left an indelible mark on his father's life. King. Committed to combating
racial inequality, Mays accused the African-American community of complacency in the face of
oppression and thrusting the Black Church into social action, criticizin

Moreover it is interesting to know why do we consider Martin Luther King a great leader who
changed american culture. One of the lessons he tought us as a leader is to have total
commitment to your cause.

king was a visionary. He was a man whose dreams were bigger than the era he lives in. After all,
that's what visionary leaders really do. His "I Have a Dream" speech brought understanding and
humanity to the national sense of citizenship in America. King's nonviolent stance on political
activism makes him a born leader and inspirational gure. He led the social movement for equality
at a time when he was not supported by the majority. In fact, many men threatened and despised
him. However, he remained true to his vision. Unfortunately, his leadership and dreams cost King
his life

Today, king is revered and respected, but during his short life he was not accepted by society.
However, King knows that his dream of equality (even if equality is not universal) is more important
than the status quo. His actions cemented his vision and rocked the popular culture of the time.
Sometimes growth and innovation requires doing something completely different. These paradigm
shifts are crucial in all aspects of social, cultural and technological change. The same way of
thinking always leads to the same results. King never agreed that just because things turn out a
certain way makes them good. As a leader he was not afraid to change the current paradigm.

Furthermore, he believed that communication was one of the main factors to achieve your dreams.
Today I am pleased to join you in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration of
freedom in the history of our nation,” King said at the start of his speech. at the Washington
Monument. These are the big words that a leader can say in front of more than 250,000 audiences.
But King had a dream and couldn't keep quiet about it
How effective is sleep if you do not convey it? Do you have a vision for your company? Is it
displayed in a conspicuous place so that your employees can easily see it? Do you talk about how
your activities, campaigns and products support this vision
Dream without doing, for childhood. Real leaders have big dreams, take big steps to achieve them
and then act! King's actions have made him one of the greatest leaders of the 20th century, Time
magazine's Person of the Year in 1963 and recipient of the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize.

Con dence is also an important quality of a leader. Self-con dence is the ability to believe in one's
own abilities and skills . If you are con dent in your actions, you will gain the trust of your followers.
No one wants to be led by an insecure and incompetent person. As a leader, they must have the
con dence to make the right decisions at the right time. Dr. King's con dence and composure
captivated followers. He is con dent that he can one day lead the African-American community to
be treated equally. If Dr. King lacked con dence, he wouldn't have changed the lives of African-
Americans. Dr. King did not let any negativity stop him from achieving greatness

Ultimately, the mark of a good leader is assertiveness. Assertiveness is the willingness to get
things done Dr. King is determined to one day realize his dream of equal treatment. His
enthusiasm and passion inspired others to follow him. Even when it was dif cult and he went to
prison, he did not refuse. He continued his journey of peace for African-Americans. Dr. King has
put himself in dangerous situations for his people and given everything away. Dr. King's
persistence is what makes his movement so powerful. After all, he paid the ultimate sacri ce by
ghting for his freedom. He was killed by James Earl Ray in Memphis, Tennessee. Despite the
upheavals he faced, he was awarded the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize. His life and work have been
commemorated with a national holiday, schools and public buildings named after him, and a statue
at the Independence Mall in Washington, D.C.
