LANGUAGE PROJECT

‘WRITING PROGRAMME’
Dear Parents,
For the next 8 weeks, the students of Grade 5 will be compiling a writing portfolio as part of
their English Language project. The timeline for the programme consists of all important
deadlines and has been attached below for your reference.

Instructions:
1. Weekly task: Students are required to select one activity each week from the options
provided in the activity grid. Colour your selected activity in the grid to mark as done.
2. The first draft will be checked and returned by the teacher before the students can
complete their final assignment. In the final assignment, students may use visual
illustrations to support creativity in writing. The timeline must be followed strictly.
3. Managing the projects: All first draft and final draft papers should be contained in a
folder made out of a chart paper of your preferred colour.
4. Grading Criteria: Assignments will be graded on the basis of relevant content, effort and
creativity.
5. All final assignments must be completed on an A4-sized paper and submitted as a bound
booklet.
6. Submission date for portfolio: Monday, 10 April 2023.
