SEN VA UCS Circular No. 10/2011
Sales Release (M2) for OpenScape Solution Set V6, OpenScape Voice V6, OpenScape
Branch V2, and OpenScape SBC V2
Effective September 26th, 2011, the OpenScape Solution Set V6, OpenScape Voice V6, OpenScape Branch V2,
and OpenScape Session Border Controller V2 will be introduced in all countries where previous solution/product
versions have already been released.
For approval of any new channel partner wanting to sell any of these products in these above-mentioned countries
as a standard portfolio element, the regional DRM (Deployment Readiness Manager) must be contacted by the
respective SEN partner management. Channel partners need to follow the requirements defined by the SEN
Partner Program.
The OpenScape solution Set, OpenScape Voice (including the Hosted Edition), OpenScape Branch, and
OpenScape SBC are the strategic SEN offerings for Large Enterprise and Service Provider markets and are the
successors for OpenScape UC Suite V5, OpenScape Voice V5, OpenScape Branch V1, and OpenScape SBC V1.
There will be a full Sales and Marketing Kit created and released in conjunction with this release.

OpenScape Voice
OpenScape Voice V6 is the voice application running as part of OpenScape UC Suite 2011. As the voice
application of OpenScape UC Suite, it can be deployed in any cloud scenario (private, hybrid, public). As a real
time voice application it addresses all the requirements for medium, large, and very large enterprises. Because it is
deployed as a common application on top of OpenScape UC Server it easily integrates with the more robust
enterprise features of UCC – giving the enterprise a critical competitive advantage.

The OpenScape Branch is a Siemens developed SIP based Voice over IP appliance that empowers the remote
branch offices in an OpenScape Voice network by leveraging the benefits of an open architecture VoIP enterprise
environment.

OpenScape Session Border Controller V2 is the strategic Siemens offering for a centralized SBC for small to large
Enterprise applications. It compliments the existing Acme Packet Net-Net 3820 and 4500 SBC portfolio offerings
which are used for large to very large Enterprise applications. OpenScape Session Border controller V2 builds on
the existing capabilities of V1 offering additional features and functionality enabling it to support more of the SBC
deployment scenarios used in the OpenScape Solution Set V6 environment.
