Project #1 Current Project
Project Description:
Samsung's Mobile Packet Core system is composed of both a Packet Core Controller and a Packet Core
Gateway. Each component integrally supports multiple radio network technologies including 2G, 3G, and
LTE simultaneously, while providing combined MME/SGSN and S-GW/P-GW/GGSN functionalities,
respectively. Samsung’s Virtual Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) provides operators the flexibility they need to
manage the flood of IoT and user device traffic. Samsung has already developed four 5G Nodes such as
SMF,AMF, UPF, NRF and NSSF in both virtualized and containerized platform.
The SVT testing scope includes:
In 5G core : Testing of all new features of SMF,UPF, AMF, NRF and NSSF.
In 4G core: Writing TCs and testing of customer MRs and regression testing of MME/vMME, S-PGW/vGW-
C/vGW-U before all major releases.
My Responsibilities:
1. Designing and reviewing of test cases for all new features of 5G nodes - SMF, UPF and NRF.
2. Involved in Manual Testing of SMF, UPF and NRF features in both virtual and containerized
platform.
4. Involved in the EPC core SIT of all major patches released to different customers.
Project Description:
AT&T legacy Hosted VoIP networks provides a hosted IP Solution suitable for Business markets. The goal
of current project is to consolidate all existing AT&T Hosted Voice services on a common virtualized
platform. In this project AT&T deploys a new hosted voice service which will consolidate the existing
business IP Hosted voice services onto a single, common, scalable Cloud Environment which is managed
by OpenStack. AT&T Hosted Communications VoIP Platform is composed of Cisco/Broadsoft, Ericsson
Juniper vNFs and pNFs and offers services to AT&T Enterprise/Business Customers.
My Responsibilities:
Project Description:
LTE (Long Term Evolution) is introduced in the AT&T mobile network recently. LTE service
implementation happens in various phases for various services. Testing scope includes testing of
end-to-end network functionalities across all network elements and testing of various 4G mobile
services including broadband and voice services in various phases.
My Responsibilities:
As a senior test Engineer for the AT&T LTE Lab Testing, involved in the following activities:
Test plan design, preparation, reviews and execution of test cases for the VoLTE network.
Involved in End to End testing of LTE and VoLTE features in maintenance window for post volte
lunch testing at different cities of USA.
Actively involved in troubleshooting the live issues found in Network on the night of lunch.
Testing of VOLTE scenarios i.e. IMS Registration, Re-Registration, De-Registration, MTM, MTL,
CSFB, SRVCC, Policy & Charging control functionality and Supplementary features [CFU, CFNR,
CFNRc, CFB, Call Hold and Conference] of VoLTE network.
Testing of LTE scenarios i.e. LTE Attach/Detach, Dedicated Bearer activation/Deactivation, TAU,
RAU, IRAT-HO, X2 and S1-HO of LTE network.
Defect tracking – logging defects and tracking the defects to closure.
Project #4
Project Description:
Starent Networks’ Session Control Manager (SCM) provides IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) capabilities
while providing a migration path to a complete IMS architecture. The Session Control Manager is a
software upgrade to the company’s industry leading ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway. Cisco ASR 5000 SCM
consists of an IETF-compliant SIP Proxy and Registrar, a 3GPP IMS-compliant Proxy Call Session Control
Function (P-CSCF), an Interrogating Call Session Control Function (I-CSCF), a Serving Call Session Control
Function (S-CSCF), an Emergency Call Session Control Function (E-CSCF), a Breakout Gateway Control
Function (BGCF), and an Access Border Gateway (A-BG). This network element performs SIP routing,
translation and mobility, admission control, authentication, and registration; admits or denies packet
network access based on pre-established policies and procedures; performs localized policy selection and
enforcement for rapid decisions; and provides
multimedia call detail records.

Project #5
Project Title : EXFO VOIP and IMS simulator (Navel Interwatch) testing.
Project Duration : December 2008 to Nov 2012
Organization : EXFO ELECTRO-OPTICAL ENGINEERING INDIA PVT Ltd
Client : CISCO India, ALU, SONUS, ACME Packets, Juniper
Platforms : Windows XP, Solaris, Linux
Tools : Navtel (IW-M7, IW-R14 and IW- QA-604), Wireshark
Protocols Used : SIP, SIP-T, SIP-I, Diameter, Megaco, SDP, UDP, TCP, SCTP,
RTP/RTCP/SRTP and MSRP
Responsibility : Quality Analyst
Project Description:
EXFO’s InterWatch (Navtel) is a powerful test platform designed for today’s voip and IMS network. It
can generate up to 4000 calls per second using a single chassis and be scaled to support 256000 unique
emulated endpoints. Some of its key features are VoIP and IMS device and network testing , Session
border controller, security gateways and border gateway function testing , IMS P/S/I-SCSCF and HSS
testing, Presence and IP Centrex application server testing , Packet Cable CMS testing ,VoIP proxy and
registrar testing , Voice, video and DTMF generation and analysis feature, load, regression, performance
and scale testing. Below are some applications of the Interwatch:
SIPFlex: Complete test lifecycle coverage: feature, negative, load, regression, interoperability and
scalability testing for any SIP-based network elements such as SBCs, IMS P/I/S-CSCF, IP centrex servers,
persence servers and SIP proxies. DiameterFlex: This test suite was designed to test IMS HSS over Cx,
Dx, Sh and Si interface. It integrates the subscriber and IMS entities (I/SCSCF/AS) in a single test bed.
Also it can be simulated as a charging client/server in Rf,Ro,Rx interface of IMS and Gx interface of LTE.
Megaco/H248 BGF: The IMS Border Gateway Test Suite was designed to test the IMS border gateway. It
integrates the subscribers and the controller into a single flexible but easy-to-use GUI-driven test bed to
perform numerous tests. IMS ProxyFlex: The IMS ProxyFlex Provides key functions of the IMS Proxies
such as P/I/S-CSCF. It emulates the IMS subscribers supporting IMS AKA and IPSec as well as the rest of
the IMS core network, which includes the IMS core and HSS—all on a single test platform.
My Responsibilities:
Design the test profiles using InterWatch as per the test case.
Regression and performance testing of test cases.
Setting up the Lab in Pune for IW R14 and QA-604 with L2/L3 Switch & Router.
Taking active part in Customer Calls, Customers satisfaction, delivering the qualitative Product to the
customer in time with less defects.
