2. Print this Hall Ticket on an A4 size paper using a laser printer. Hall Ticket is valid only if the candidate's
photograph and signature images are legibly printed.
3. Entry to the exam centre will NOT be permitted without the Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket is to be produced
for verification at the entrance of the test center. At least one original (not scanned) valid (not expired)
photo identification card (such as Voter ID, Passport, Pan Card, Driving License, Photo pasted centralized
Bank Passbook, UID Aadhar Card, Photo pasted 10th or 12th Marksheet) should also be presented. The
candidate's photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and
should match the name on the Hall Ticket. The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged.
4. Candidates are advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so
that they can reach the centre on time on the day of test.
5. Candidates should report at the test center on the test day at 1:00 PM. Exam will start at 3:00 PM. No
candidate will be allowed to enter the test centre after 2:45 PM. PWD candidates will get priority entry
into the test centre.
6. The PwD candidates must produce medical proof of disability in original issued by the competent medical
authority and scribe, if approved, must carry his/her valid proof of Identity. The candidates will have to
arrange their own scribe at their own cost.
7. The PwD candidate who uses a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every
hour of the examination (Blind/Low Vision candidates and other candidates whose writing speed is
affected permanently for any reason, whether availing the facility of scribe or not shall be allowed
compensatory time of 20 minutes and or part thereof for every hour of the examination.)
8. DO NOT wear any jewelry or other items containing metal. Mobile phones or any other electronic
gadgets such as Smart watches, calculators are NOT ALLOWED inside the test hall. There is no facility for
safekeeping of your personal belongings outside the test hall and we are not responsible for its loss.
Only Hall Ticket, Original Photo ID Card, Transparent Water Bottle & Ball Pen will be allowed inside the
test hall.
9. Rough sheet(s) will be provided to the candidates for rough work, which will have to be returned after
the test. An online non-programmable scientific calculator will be provided on the candidate's console.
11. Candidates need to make their own travel and stay arrangements for attending the test. Friends and
relatives accompanying the candidate will not be allowed inside the test centre.
12. Candidates must thoroughly go through the instructions presented on their test console before the
beginning of the test.
13. Candidates indulging in copying or adopting unfair means at any stage of the examination will be
summarily disqualified.
14. Other than medical emergency, candidates shall not be allowed to leave the Test Hall till the end of the
test.
15. The possibility of occurrence of some unforeseen/ unavoidable circumstances in the conduct of the test
cannot be ruled out completely which may impact test delivery and/or result from being generated. In
that event, every effort will be made to rectify such problem which may include movement of
candidates, delay in test. Conduct of reexamination is at the sole discretion of the JEST organizing
committee. Candidates not willing to move or not willing to participate in the delayed process of test
delivery shall be summarily rejected from the process.
16. Note that ensuring eligibility for selection to the different academic programs which use JEST as a
screening test, exclusively rests on candidates. JEST does not verify eligibility of candidates based on the
data provided by candidates in the application form.
