ACTIVITY NO.

1. List as many local tourist spots as possible that you had visited.
-ILOCOS NORTE
-BAGUIO
2. In each local tourist spot visited in the Philippines, enumerate and explain the
significant experiences you had in the place. Identify the good and the not so good
experiences that you had in that place.
-We went on a road trip vacation to Ilocos. Me and my fam drove all the way from
Manila to Vigan, Laoag, Pagudpud and back in a span of four days. Our mission was to
see the famous places in Ilocos Norte while experiencing the joy of travelling on the
road. Our vacation rules were simple, see as much tourist destinations as we can, eat
only in local restaurants and of course, enjoy our time together. The people of Ilocos are
proud and can also not be that friendly. But for sure, we still had a great time. I can't say
that the agency we were accommodated with was the best, but some of the people on
Ilocos suggests a lot of great places to eat in Ilocos, so 7/10! What I don't love about the
trip is the hotel lodging. The staff weren't as nice and accommodating as the other
hotels we were into on our previous trips. But will we consider going back to Ilocos?
Yes! There are still a lot of places worth traveling to Ilocos that just can't fit in a three-
day trip. Ilocos is a beautiful place that is just breath taking. There are still a lot of places
worth traveling to Ilocos that just can't fit in a four-days trip. Ilocos is a beautiful place
that is just breath taking.
-Visiting Baguio is always something I look forward to. No matter how many
times I've visited the place and despite the long road travel, I still look forward to going
here. Aside from its very cool climate (at least most of the time), I see it as a refuge from
everyday life in busy Manila. There are many tourist spots to go to especially if you're a
first time visitor. During my visits to Baguio, I have gone to several of these famous
places like: The Lourdes Grotto, the statuesque Baguio Cathedral, The Mansion, Mines
View Park, Wright Park, Botanical Garden, Good Shepherd Convent, Bell Church on the
outskirts of the city proper going to La Trinidad, Philippine Military Academy and the
famous Session Road. Over time, Baguio City has developed its City-ness and with it
comes the usual common problems like heavy traffic specially during holiday season,
noise, etc. I just hope that these will be properly addressed by the City Government.
Over all, my Baguio experience has been very good and I advise first time travellers
who just want to experience Baguio and its attractions to go there during off peak
season so that they can follow their travel budget. Everything is cheaper during off
peak, aside from the fact that you can visit their tourist attractions at a leisurely place.
3. What are the significances that made the place that you had visited in item no. 1
attractive to local and foreign tourists?
-ILOCOS NORTE, Combining the best of natural landscapes and man-made
wonders, Ilocos Norte seeks to captivate every traveler with its historical charm. Ilocos
Norte is blessed with a rich topography full of man-made natural wonders inviting you to
explore the best of land, air, and water.
-BAGUIO, It is here where you can enjoy the sun with the chilly breeze keeping
you refreshed. No wonder millions of visitors travel to Baguio City, the north's business
and commercial center, throughout the summer season. Savor the cool weather, rich
culture and breathtaking landscapes in the City of Pines.
4. Identify and explain some of the key advantages of the places identified in item no. 1
that could have possibly attracted tourist to visit such place?
-Ilocos Norte is noted for its distinctive geography and culture. This includes
numerous examples of well-preserved Spanish colonial era architecture, particularly
Saint William's Cathedral in Laoag with its sinking bell tower done in the Earthquake
Baroque style, the St.
-Baguio, Aside from providing a short reprieve from the lowland heat, Baguio
City's cool weather has tons of health benefits. It can lower your risk of getting certain
diseases. Though you're likely to catch a cold, of course, other viruses and bacteria that
can get you sick can't survive in such cold conditions.
