can answer any question, write any story, create concepts and more. Whatever is typed
into the machine, will be analyzed and responded to in a variety of means. It is useful to

o Khan Academy ( https://www.khanacademy.org ) Online learning videos and practice
questions: Khan academy is a website that offers many different instructional videos and
practice questions for multiple grade levels and subjects. You are able to go on and
watch videos on lessons that you’re learning in class and get extra practice as well as
create a personalized learning dashboard that helps you go at your own pace through

o Ted-Ed (https://www.ted.com/about/programs-initiatives/ted-ed) Ted-Ed is a platform
that allows users to take any TED Talk, TED-Ed Lesson, or educational video of a similar
nature and create playlists and curriculums consisting of customized lessons and
discussions. Ted-Ed aims to spark and celebrate the ideas and knowledge of teachers
and students around the world, while also celebrating innovative leadership within TED-

o Google Classroom ( https://classroom.google.com/u/0/h ) Google Classroom is an
online tool that helps streamline the process of creating, distributing, and grading
student assignments. It benefits students and teachers by managing assignments and
helping to stay organized. (Katie Fuson)
o Perusall (https://www.perusall.com/) Perusall is a free forum-type website that allows
teachers to assign readings and videos. Student engagement is tracked and viewable by
the teacher. There are many options for grading for the instructor. As for students,
there are different ways of communicating and making notes that can differentiate their
learning and overall grade for the assignments.
o Quill (https://www.quill.org ) Quill is a non-profit website that provides free literacy
activities that build reading, comprehension, writing, and language skills for elementary,
middle and high school students.
o Classroom Screens (https://classroomscreen.com/) Classroom Screens allows you to
create a customized screen for you to put up on a projector or smartboard. It has a
variety of useful options for widgets to add to your screen, such as timers, a noise
meter, and a random group generator for small group work. You can also add website

and video widgets to your screen. All of the widgets can be moved, resized, rearranged,
and removed from the screen at any time. The background is also customizable. You can
also save different screen pages that you create and name them to make it easier to
choose which screen you would like to use.
o Peardeck (peardeck.com) This tool allows you to make your presentations interactive
for students. You can add in a variety of interactive options, such as giving students
multiple choice answers to pick from, allowing students to submit short written
responses, having students draw, having students pick from a number set or
percentage, taking students to a website that you have added to the presentation, and
much more. When you present using the peardeck tool, you can either allow students to
follow the presentation at their own pace (like a StAIR) or have the presentation pace be
tied to a “live session” meaning that the presentation progresses as the teacher
presents it. I really like this tool, and I think it could be very handy for every subject
area!
