Year 6 speech 2022

Elkyn: Good evening parents, families, staff, and students. Thank you for attending our year 6 graduation
ceremony for 2022. My name is Elkyn and this is Reniah and we are here to present our final speech as year
6 students.

Reniah: To start, we would like to thank all our parents and carers for making sure we get to school every
day. Thank you for volunteering your time to make the school a better place. You have all played a major
role in our schooling lives and we are grateful.

Elkyn: Mr Money you have one killer smile, how could you not with student like us. You are an amazing
part of the school, welcoming all, keeping us safe and taking care of everyone. You are a pretty cool guy
with some pretty cool jokes, don’t worry we will laugh even if no one else will. We appreciate the time and
support you have put into the school and our learning.

Reniah: Ms Curruthers we are ever grateful for you teaching us the ways of graduation and dancing, if it
weren’t for you, we would be lost. Your bright smile lights up each and every day. You make such and
positive impact on the school and our lives. You have made the school the best place for all the students
with all the work that you do. Thank you for caring for us and the school every day.

Elkyn: Mr and Mrs Street, you make the world make sense. You have both been with us for so long and we
are sure it wasn’t easy dealing with us every day. Mr Street you know how to fix all the problems and Mrs
Street you have the most loving smile. Thank you for being there for us, helping the student leaders make
their way and showing us care and kindness always.

Reniah: Miss Kelly what would the school be like with out you? It would be true chaos! You keep everyone
safe and calm. You help us make the right decisions, when we need anything at all and get us out of sticky
spots, we may be in. You know what to do to help us improve in every area. Miss Kelly you are a legend,
and it won’t be the same without, we wish you the very best at your new school.

Elkyn: We cannot thank Clontarf and shooting stars enough for the support and kindness they give us all
year. You always do the very best for us, helping in classrooms, at contact time, carnivals and anytime we
need you. Thank you for giving us time to develop our skills for the future and teaching us all the secrets of
the world. We can’t wait to see what you can show us in the high school years to come.

Reniah: What can we say about Miss Chelsea, kind and caring and sweet and funny and helpful and
everything we can think of. Miss Chelsea you do so much for us in and out of class. You are always there
for anyone who needs it and give the best advice for life. There have been so many good times, carnivals, on
country trips, sports practice, you just make everything a little more fun. Thank you for encouraging all of us
and making our lives better.
Elkyn: Ms Janet you have been apart of our lives for so long and we have appreciated every moment of it.
Growing up with you supporting us has been awesome, you help us when we need and are always there with
us on whatever journey we are on. We love your cheery smile each morning and afternoon and especially
love hearing about your chickens. We appreciate your help and support over all the years.

Reniah: Miss Michelle you have fit so well into our school and made it a comfortable place for all. You put
so much time and effort into the school community and we know all the students appreciate you. You are an
amazing teacher showing patience and kindness every step of the way. You have become such an important
part of the school and we hope you have many amazing years here to come.

Elkyn: Mrs Franz we would like to thank you for being the best. You are so understanding and comforting
for the students who need you, we always feel welcome and safe in your classroom. You are a great teacher;
you make all the boring things fun for us and we are excited to learn with you. You have done so much for
us and you have kept us all in line, preparing us for year 7. We hope to keep seeing your face and hope you
have fun as a deputy next year.

Reniah: Miss Dunlop thank you for this wonderful year, you are such a great teacher to us helping us and
teaching us to achieve our best. You are hilarious and should really quit teaching to become a comedian, we
would all buy tickets to your show. We have had a lot of good times and you are not afraid to let us know
when we are not meeting our expectations. Year 6 would not have been the same with out you there. We
wish you luck for the future.

Elkyn: We have made some pretty amazing memories over our primary school lives. Our on-country trips
were amazing exploring and learning all the things we could in a real-world environment. The year 4 camp
to Broome is always a highlight of ours. Having new teachers teach us new things and showing us how to
navigate school life. Not to forget all the carnivals and interschool sports that we have done across the West
Kimberley. We have had such fun in primary school where else would we ever want to be.

Reniah: High school is our next big adventure, one small step into the big school and one giant leap for our
future. We are so excited for all the things high school has in store for us, new teachers, new subjects, new
classes and the new school, we may not look it but we are a little nervous, but in a good way. Our primary
school journey is coming to an end, but our high school journey is just beginning, hope they are ready for
our mob. Thank you all for listening to our speech and enjoy the ceremony.
