MOUNTING- AND OPERATION INFORMATION

When assembling, starting - up and adjusting the modules, it is necessary

to consider the system specific references in the manual instruction!

The modules may only be installed and started up by authorized technical

personnel!

When assembling the modules into the receiving points, the adherence
of the EMV regulations is to be secured!

The assembly and wiring have to be done without voltage!

All active modules may only be operated with the head end controller
HCB 100 or bus extender BEB 100!

The main voltage for all power supply units is 230 V, 50 Hz.

With all work the defaults of the DIN EN 50083 have to be considered!

Especially the safety relevant execution of the DIN EN 50083/1 is necessary!

GENERAL
The audio / video - modulators VMA 1x1 are modules of the head end system A-Line.
Analogue audio- and video - signals can be upmodulated on an according carrier frequency of a tv - channel
within BK - range.
The VMA 1x1 is adjustable via an integrated control unit and power supplied with an internal power supply unit
Therewith the VMA is a stand alone unit and is woking independenty.

DESCRIPTION
The -TV -modulators contain a A / V signal processing, a TV - IF - AM - modulator, two
Audio - IF - FM - modulators and a IF / HF - converter with a booster amplifier. The video - processing
includes a disconectable runtime equalising video - low - pass, a video pre-amplifier, with clamp and
a disconectable Video - AGC (within the Video - modulator).
The video - processing contains also a symentric input - amplifier,
a level adjuster (8 levels) with booster amplifier and a stereo / dualtone - coder.
The coder is realized via a controllable pilot tone generator and also controllable stereo matrix.
An internal data - line - decoder adjustes (within operating mode “VPS” ) the Audio - operating - mode
regarding to the content of an existing VPS - data - line.
Also possible is a adjustment of the audio - operating - mode (MONO, STEREO, DUAL)
as well as its remote controll via respective contacts at the audio - socket.
Video- and Audio - signals will be feed to the individual modules. After the interconnection
of the modulated TV - IF - carrier and the vestigial sideband - filtration the conversion into the respective
output - frequency and the necessary boost amplification as well as the selection takes place.
The integrated control unit contains a data - interface for PC / LAN / WAN which is designed
as IP / Ethernet - interface (RJ 45).
Programming can be done directly at the module or remote controlled via PC / Laptop (see Programming)
The IP - Address of each individual STA can be edited and adapted to the respective LAN.
