Lifetime 24 months (zone 2) which is the area with the most thermal stress. We
cast Precast Blocks of c. 470kg HASLE Ferrum Cast M+3% SS
fibre are casted and dried to 400°C at their own workshop
They use raw materials (mother slabs) from Russia. The ‘mother
slabs’ are cut into smaller ‘baby slabs’ up to 20MT each. ‘Baby
slabs’ at the entrance of the reheating furnace. 50.000 m2 steel
is tranported through the reheating furnace per hour.

The reheating furnace has 9 lines divided into 6 zones. The

furnace is gas fired and the atmosphere is low in oxygen.

During operation the temperature at the hot face is aprox. 1300°C
