Charles Reta, Christian Roldan, Jobert Soriano Instructor:

1. Objective(s):

To explore the capabilities of Multisim Live.

2. Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs):

The students shall be able to:

1. Identify the different components and tools of Multisim Live.
2. Create a circuit design.
3. Simulate the created circuit design.
3. Discussion:

National Instruments (NI) is a global leader in providing hardware and software products for electronic testing and
simulation. One of their software products is Multisim Live.

Multisim Live is an online SPICE circuit simulator that offers the same simulation technology used in industrial
research and can be used anywhere, anytime on any web-enabled device. It also offers an intuitive schematic
layout and simulation experience within a web browser, making it available anywhere that is internet-accessible. It
can be
learned on any device (cell phone, tablet, computer, etc.) without installing any software, It can test the behavior of
a circuit, demonstrate the application of a design, illustrate concepts, and perform and share interactive SPICE
simulations.

Multisim Live has the following features:

 Expanding the Multisim Experience: It is a new feature of Multisim (for desktop).

 Create Circuit Schematics on Any OS: Schematics can be accessed on any computing or mobile device
and shared from any supported browser.
 Interactive Circuit Simulation with No Installation: Interactive simulations can be shared without installing
any application software.
 Same Industry-Standard SPICE Simulation: Key tool in laboratories around the world, providing a
pedagogical environment powered by industry-standard SPICE for visualizing circuit behavior.
 Share Your Circuit Brilliance: Share your designs or explore circuits created by others, all within the
Multisim Live community.
 Complete Circuits Teaching Solution: The NI circuits teaching solution includes software, hardware, and
course material that covers analog, digital, and power electronics. Multisim Live in combination with
Multisim (for desktop),
 Stream Circuit Simulation from Multisim Live to Measurements Live: Simulate the theoretical concepts in
Multisim Live, prototype the actual circuit with NI ELVIS III, and compare the simulation with real-world
measurements inside the Measurements Live environment using the NI ELVIS III Oscilloscope.

7. Discussion of Results

The magnitude and the phase of the input is consistent to 0 but as the output gives out more and more the
magnitude and the phase decreases. In our evaluation the Frequency and the Magnitude Correlates on how much
a current gives out voltage.

8. Conclusion:
Bejo
The laboratory experiment 1 helps us understand the fundamental tools needed in
creating a simple circuit.
Mora
The activity has guided us on how to use multisim and also teach us how to make
our very own circuit design. In our activity it also teaches us about Low pass filter. A
low-pass filter is a filter that allows signals with frequencies lower than a
predetermined cutoff frequency to pass while attenuating signals with frequencies
greater than the cutoff frequency.
Reta
This experiment no. 1 helps our group understand how to use the Multisiim Live
and its components, so in doing the Activity in the experiment we are able to
answer and complete it easily.
Roldan
I therefore conclude that having MULTISM as a tool or website can help us do
circuitry easily as they provide tutorials for new users.
Soriano
I conclude that the multisim will help us students make, imagine and calculate
easier when doing a circuit management, it will also serve as a precaution of what
to use when creating a circuit. In this experiment it will provide us students easy and
free access to simulate and generate the energy a circuit will give.
