This time I will explain to you the principle of CBT so that you will familiar
my approach or method that im going to use for training
1st Principle The training is based on curriculum developed from the
competency standards. It means your training will be based on the Training
Regulation because TR is my bible in teaching you.
2nd Principle Learning is competency-based or modular in structure. As
trainer I am the one who prepare CBLM in FBS comprises of 6 core unit of
competencies if you choose core one you cannot proceed to the
competency if you will not competent first in the competency you are
working on. So you need first to undergo institutional assessment.
3rd principle Training delivery is individualized and self-paced. It means I am
teaching you individualized and it depends on your capacity to finish the
competency that you are working on
4th principle Training is based on work that must be performed. It means I
am teaching you based on the industry standard
5th principle Training materials are directly related to the competency
standards and the curriculum
Do you remember principle 1 that I am teaching based on the TR. So the
training materials that we are going to use are based on the TR. So that it
will standard.
6th principle Assessment of learners is based in the collection of evidences
of work performance based on industry or organizational required standards
Since it is individualized learning you are required to undergo institutional
assessment to check you underpinning knowledge and skills. I need to
collect evidences like written test, demonstration and oral question which is
anchored to the industry standard.
7th principle Training is based both on and off the job components. You
training is dual system school base and industry based. When you say off the
job the training will be on the school while on the job the training will be on
the industry
8th principle The system allows Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The CBT
training we recognize your prior learning. Example if you have experience in
hotel as room service attendant. I will recognize you prior learning but you
need to prove to me that you know the said competency I will be conducting
to you an institutional assessment if you are rated competent. You can
proceed to the next competency. Theres is no repetition of training if you
are competent
9th principle The system allows for learners to enter and exit programs at
different times and levels and to receive an award for competencies
attained at any point’
It means multi entry and multi exit. Like for example you are 4 new enrolles
it doesn’t mean you were the same to finish your training it depends on
your capacity. And if you ready for institutional assessment please tell me so
that I will schedule you for institutional assessment and if you were rated
competent will receive an award which is certificate of achievement.Every
Competency you will be given certificate of achievement as your award for
being competent.
10th principle Approved training programs are nationally accredited
Our training center is accredited by the UTPRAS Unified TVET Program
Registration and Accreditatin System
This time I will explain to you my role and responsibility as trainer
I am your teacher. I will teach to become skillful, knowledgeable and good
attitude toward the qualification
I am the negotiator. I will be one to negotiate to the industry partner where
you will under your ojt.`
