Various conditions can contribute to the risk. one of the

risks is payment failure from the customer. As we know, the

payments missed by customers were sometimes due to the careless

nature of customers who thought it was not important that the

documents they wanted were needed. Because failure to pay can

make it difficult to turn over salary or capital.

3.0 EXPERIENCES AT THE COMPANY

3.1. Summary Candidate’s Experience at The Company

As part of my Public Management degree at the School of

Government, Universiti Utara Malaysia Kedah, I conducted a four-

month internship in the Sbo Consultancy's Department of Accounting

and Finance from 17th September 2022 to 16th February 2023. This

internship report is based on my experiences during the internship

programme, which I successfully finished at the Sbo Consultancy's

from March 17th to February 16th, 2023. As someone who is

completely fresh to the real world, every hour spent in the MPT

supplied me with a plethora of information and experience that words

cannot sufficiently explain. Regardless, they were all helpful to my

professional advancement.

12
This research offered information on how the Administration in

this company. I am learning new things and getting useful knowledge

in the administration industries as a result of my practical job in this

field. To guarantee that the practice I perform is relevant to the theory

and practice I learned at UUM, I must complete activities that are

relevant to the theory and practice I learned at UUM.

Practical experience in this field has taught me a great lot about

dealing with people and office work. As a result, the difficulties,

problems, and obstacles I faced while working for this company

pushed me to be bold in the future. Working with this firm has given

me a wealth of fresh experience. Every member of the company's staff

has also helped me with my job and has been quite cooperative. I am

pleased to be a part of this company as one of its internship students.

13
4.0 SUMMARY OF JOB ASSIGNED

4.1. Collect payment from customers

I was assigned to collect payment that needs to be

explained by customers. I have to call all customers who owe

and deal with them until they pay the company's debt. No

matter in the form of cash or transfer. In my opinion. this task is

a challenging task, when we face customers who are difficult to

pay debts.

4.2. Data Update and Key-In

Key-in data is one of the tasks given to me as a trainee. In

addition to helping offers in managing programs and fines,

clerical work also needs to be completed to smooth the process

from A-Z Data is the most important thing that needs to be

handled carefully. Some of the work that needs to be done is

Analysis of bank statements for tax calculations. The analysis

of this bank statement is important and needs to be updated

every year to ensure that it is not a problem to make tax

calculations for customers.

4.3. Genaral Administration work

For the administrative work of trainees it is a must for us to

handle, not all, but help in the long term to smooth the process and work

among the staff. Among the works are photocopying of forms, meeting

14
minutes, scanning, printing, pick up calls and others.

The work I was given improved my ability to handle administrative work

better and at the same time, gained experience working in other places, also

learned millions of new things because I had never been in the

semiconductor industry. This is a good experience for us as trainees to use

for our future efforts to get a better life.

5.0 HUMAN RESOURCE PRACTICE: TREND AND

CHALLENGES IN SBO CONSULTANCY

Working values and ethics that should be obeyed have taught the

importance of ethics to avoid any misconducts or miscommunication. The

experienced through this journey are priceless and it helped me a lot in

shaping me as holistic person and also preparing myself for my future

endeavor. They also give full support to me as an intern on how to adapt

with the environment there, discussing about the task or jobs given and

many more.

In addition, the respect and trust are vital in a group work, especially

in diverse group which have many religion, race and opinion. The practice

will facilitate the motion and momentum of the group and at the same time

achieving the group objectives.

5.1. Document Preparation Problem

The issue was that students took too long to accomplish the

tasks assigned to them since they lacked knowledge of finance

and accounting owing to their varied backgrounds. It is difficult

to describe topics since so much jargon is needed to explain

15
certain things.

To find a solution, the student must take the initiative and

always ask all of the personnel there about even the most

fundamental things, as they have already recognised that the

student does not come from an accounting background. Students

can also spend time outside of employment to study more about

finance, accounting, and auditing

16
5.2. Participate during peak months
Students worked hard throughout the practicum period to

engage with work during the busy month of May. Students

work overtime to help staff because there are several

assignments in May, this is tax submission. So, there is a lot to

do.

5.3. Relation Between Officer and Subordinates

Through internships, I found the relationship between

officers and subordinates to be at its best. Officers and

subordinates work together harmoniously and set a good

example for others. Misunderstandings may occur even in the

work process, but they manage to deal with them well.

Successful leaders in organizations emphasize the use of

reward power, referral, power expertise and use less coercive

and legal jurisdiction. Through observation, it was found that

officers use more legal authority, references in their leadership.

By using this method, they can maintain harmony when

working in groups. But, it differs in the management level.

Some of them tend to use coercive and legal jurisdiction

because they are at the management level. This is not an

effective way to lead a team as it can cause a lot of

misunderstandings and add tension to subordinates.

17
6.0 SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT

Sbo Consultancy is an agency that faces the usual problems, ups and downs in

maintaining their operations and business. The management managed to overcome the

problem and until now, Sbo is always sought by hundreds of customers to be their

consultant.

6.1. Empowering Teamwork

Working in a team seems to help in obtaining and facilitating the

implementation and adoption of a better work culture in the organization.

This will create a sense of belonging in the team. Their motivation will

increase when they feel valued in the team. Motivation will drive them to

succeed at work because they have someone to support and guide them. In

addition, it will also bring a positive aura to the organization because they

will help others to be proactive. It can be implemented in any type of team,

whether in a department, event management team and others. Proactive

team members will lead to a productive team. A productive team will help

in achieving targets or objectives easily. So, proactive team members will

lead to success.

6.2. Support from the Management Level

6.1.2. Support from the Management Level

The management must commit wholeheartedly in carrying out activities

related to quality improvement in the organization. It is necessary to guarantee

continuous support from the management level because changes occur in the

organization such as policies, philosophies, systems and procedures, the

18
organizational structure will take a certain time to be completed and also to make

them aware and aware of the changes that may occur. in the organization. Support is

also needed from the management level to smooth the change process in the

organization. The management level will also guide the subordinates because they

know more about the organization itself.

19
7.0 CONCLUSION

During my internship, I learned a lot, which was quite useful. I've

had several opportunities to learn and develop at the Accounting and

Finance department (TMC). I gained a lot of practical experience,

particularly in the financial field. It gave me the option to select the fields

in which I wish to work after finishing my degree.

Pn Rosnita bt Ramli, my mentor, has taught me a lot over the

previous four months. She has a plethora of knowledge in her work as an

accounting assistant in the Accounting and Finance department, and she

has been quite helpful and always willing to provide me with advice and

criticism, which I greatly appreciate. She also taught me a lot about how to

correctly phrase an English professional paper, which helped me gain

confidence in the community. Writing about her extensive knowledge was

a tremendous help in allowing me to adjust to and learn from all of the

responsibilities she assigned to me.

This internship gave me a solid foundation in the financial world. I

learned how to work in a business setting and used my theoretical

knowledge. It was a wonderful chance for me to improve a few of my

spoken communication abilities, and I thoroughly loved working in an

international setting. This internship was without a doubt beneficial to me,

and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to

learn so much useful experience and information during my time there.

Working in the Accounting and Finance department allowed me to

learn more about the organisation and expand my professional experience.

20
Aside from that, it was an incredible personal adventure that allowed me to

discover a completely new perspective on things. I feel that only through

breaking away from one's old routines can one completely appreciate life

for what it is. For four months of industrial training here, it offered me

many job and event satisfactions.
