● THE USE OF SIMPLE PAST IS

The past simple is used to talk about a specific action that began and ended in the past.

● REGULAR VERBS ARE THOSE VERBS WHICH


Regular verbs are those that do not modify their stem when they are conjugated. For
example, the root of the verb amar is am and it remains in its different conjugations:
amaba, amo, amo, amaré. Irregular verbs, on the other hand, modify the root of their
structure when they are conjugated.

● FIVE EXAMPLES OF REGULAR VERBS ARE:


1 You must pay the fiddler if you dance.
2 To watch my own misery, I cry myself laugh.
3 I can’t dance to music that doesn’t have a good beat.
4 It took a long time for the water to come to a boil.

● IRREGULAR VERBS ARE THOSE VERBS WHICH

Irregular verbs are those that present variations, that is, they are conjugated without
following the paradigm of verb conjugation. These changes can appear both in the root of
the verbs and in the desinence. There are some cases where the change is in the whole
verb (root and desinence).
