Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix

I absolutely love the Harry Potter series, and all of the books
will always hold a special place in my heart. I have to say that of all
of the books, however, this was not my favorite.

When the series began it was as much of a “feel good” experience as a huge mug of
hot cocoa. The stories were bright, fast-paced, intriguing, and ultimately satisfying.

Order of the Phoenix is a different kind of book. In some instances this works. You
feel a whole new level of intensity and excitement by the time you get to the end. I was
truly moved by the last page. Other times the book just has a slightly dreary, depressing
feel. The galloping pace of the other books has slowed to a trot here, and parts of it do seem
long, as if we’re reading all about Harry “just hanging out” instead of having his usual
adventures. Reading in detail about Harry cleaning up an old house, for example –
housekeeping is still housekeeping, magical or no, and I’m not very interested in doing it
or reading about other people doing it.
A few other changes in this book, the “rear world comes much more in to play
rather than the fantasy ^universe of the previous books, and Harry has apparently been
taken off his meds. I know that he had a lot to be grumpy m this book, especially with
being a teenager and all, but the sudden change in his character seemed too drastic. He goes
from being a warm-hearted, considerate person to someone who will bite his best friend’s
heads off over nothing. It just seemed like it d’dn t fit with his character, like he turned into
a walking cliche of the “angry teen” overnight.

The “real” story seemed to happen in the last 1/3 of the book, and this part I loved. I
actually liked the ending and yes, I cried as sad as it was. It packed a punch and it made me
care about the story even more. Still a really good book, with some editing it would have
been great

TEXT 2

Titanic

In the movie, this story is presented to the

audience as a flashback. The narrator is Rose, 101
years old, with the last name Dawson. She tells the
story to a treasure hunter (Bill Paxton), who is looking
for the famous (and valuable) Heart of the Ocean, a
diamond that was given to Rose by her fiance,
Hockley.

The recreation of the ship, both the exterior (the

rendering for which was done using Digital Alpha
processors running Linux) and the interior are
impeccable. The dialogue is witty and brilliant. The movie is slow at times, but reaches its
climax when the ship begins to sink. The fact that Cameron takes his time in telling the story
makes it all the more tense. Cameron could’ve skimped in any of these areas (dialogue,
cinematography, effects, authenticity) and still come out with a great movie, but he doesn’t.
He sticks to the formula that has worked in other great epic movies, and he pulls it off one
hundred percent.

The ship was thought to be unsinkable, and so a compromise was made on the
number of lifeboats aboard. When the ship did sink, it is the richest that got first priority on
the lifeboats. While they waited in half-full lifeboats, they were exposed to the cries of
people freezing to their deaths and didn’t do a thing to help them. If a similar tragedy were
to happen today, would the result be any different?

The acting is excellent by all concerned, but I was most impressed by Zane. The nice
thing about a ship sinking is that it is a relatively slow event, and Cameron takes every
advantage of it. The depiction of the mighty ship going under is so much larger than life and
I feel this is the most magnificent part of the movie.

Just for that reason alone, Titanic is a movie not just to be seen, but to be
experienced. So make sure you see it on the big screen. It goes to show that the concept of
the disaster movie is far from dead.

The story started by introducing the setting of the
movie. It was around Cikini ( Chicken Porridge Seller), In
this place a story about friendship grew for many years. It
was about a friendship between five different persons they
were Zafran ( Herjunot Ali), Arial (Denny Sumargo), Ian
(Igor Saykoji), Riani (Raline Shah), Genta (Fedi Nuril). Each
of them has different characters for example: Arial, he was
look like a Rambo and always brought ketchup every where
he go. Ian, he was fat and like to eat noodles and always
watched porn movies . Riani, the most beautiful woman
between them, she likes to drink noodles soup that she asked from Ian.
Zafran, he was a poem lover. And the last is Genta, he has a good live and a
good work.
And the next, the movie continued to Arial’s house. They met with
arial’s parents and arial’s sister, her name is Arinda she usually called Dinda.
Zafran fell in love with Zafran at the first sight. They usually gathered in the
Arial’s  garden house.  There Genta told to his friend about his idea, he asked
his friends to go out from the box for three months. And then they dealt for
three months without any communication between them until Genta give an
information about where they will suppose to meet again and Genta promised
to invite his friends to do something in some place so they can get
unforgettable experience that they ever had.
After three months later, finally Genta contact his friends and made
an appointment to meet in Senen Train Station, there they don’t have any
idea about what will be happen until they arrived in a strange location for
them. It was Sumeru Mountain. One week before they meet, Genta asked his
friends to bring some hiking equipments such as: carier, tent, lamp, some
snack and do small exercise before they go. They started their adventure and
continued the journey to Bromo and then they started to climb the highest
mountain In Java Island, Mahameru Mountain. Their journey was not well,
they met some problems, Zafran’s leg suddenly bleeding, they had lack of
water in the middle of journey, Arial almost died because of the worst cold.
Arinda and Ian hit some rocks from the top of the mountain. Arinda’s ears
bleeding until she couldn’t hear anything, and Ian had unconscious and it
made his friends panic and predicted that he was died. After they fought with
a great problems finally they can reach the top of Mahameru Mountain, they
flagged the Indonesian’s flag there.
I like this movie because it introduced each of the characters by
taking unique point of view, it makes the audience can feel the joy of the
movie. Especially when introducing Ian with his noodles and porn movies .
The friendship between them is filled with love story during their journey to
Mahameru Mountain, it was so funny and full of love.
The movie was good and funny but the story is not too deep.
Especially about nationalism messages. The love story is not clear so the
audience still confused and not satisfied, because the movie is not full just
like the novel. But this movie is worth to be watched for relaxing and to open
our mind about how beautiful is Indonesia.
TEXT 2
Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince

Almost everyone knows Harry Potter. Harry Potter is

a series of fantasy novels by J.K Rowling. This series is also
made into a series of films, one of which is titled Harry Potter
and the Half-Blood Prince which is the 6th series.
Harry Potter has become a very popular and alive
thing since it was made into a film. Some changes are undeniable. In the last
film, Harry Potter feels lost by the murder of his godfather, Sirius Black, by
Bellatrix.
Many viewers want happiness back for Harry Potter in this 6th film. In
the first hour, we can see Harry Potter is the best in the Potion class, even
beating Hermione. This is because the book owned by the Half-Blood Prince
was found under the cupboard. However, another grim incident occurred in
this film after Dumbledore fell from the roof due to the actions of Severus
Snape aka Half-Blood Prince.
Please note that in this film there is not much in the original novel. It
could even be said to be different. This film is perhaps very far from the
expectations of connoisseurs of all Harry Potter series. Of course, this caused a
lot of disappointed expressions from fans of this series, including me.
Nonetheless, this 6th film series is a worthy spectacle. Eight out of ten
is a good value for this film. Many things missed or left behind in this film will
be explained in Deathly Hallows.

Home Alone

Home Alone is a brilliant film

directed by John Hughes, which explains the
hilarious story of a house robbery attempt
through the eyes eight year old Kevin
McCallister (Macaulay Culkin). The director
starts the story in Kevin’s house where his
family is getting ready to leave for France the next day. While they are
preparing their last dinner at their house before they leave for France, Kevin
gets into a fight with his brother and is forced to sleep on the third floor. His
parents forget to bring him on the family trip due to being rushed from a
power outage overnight and being isolated since he is on the third floor. This
leaves Kevin alone with no power in his house for days. During his time
alone he realizes that a pair of thieves are planning to rob his house, but he
creates the ultimate plan to take them down and send them to jail.

As the film progresses, the audience sees Kevin start off as selfish
stubborn kid, like in the beginning when he claims that when he is older his
is going to “live alone.” His unwillingness to accept his family soon gets
changed later in the film when he realizes that he needs their love and
protection when he is confronted with the fearful situation of his house
getting robbed. During the the time his family is gone he claims that he will
never be “a pain in the butt again” if his parents came back for him. Because
of his maturity and change of character, Kevin portrays a dynamic character
which is clearly evident to the audience because even though the movie is
shot from a third person view, the audience sees through Kevin’s eyes and
feels his emotions.

Not only was the plot entertaining, the film was also very well put
together. Everything in the story was well explained, which makes it
enjoyable for anyone to watch. An example of this would be that the reason
why Kevin couldn't call his parents to tell them that he was okay while they
were gone was because the power lines were destroyed which also explain
why his family was almost late to their flight which caused them to leave
Kevin home. Because the whole plot was thoroughly thought out, the movie
performs seamlessly. The movie also used camera angles to quietly set a tone
in the movie. When the camera was looking towards Kevin, the camera was
pointed downwards so the audience would view Kevin as just a child, but
when the camera was pointed to adults, the camera was pointed upwards to
make Kevin seem smaller. Not only was the movie edited well, the actors
were superb. Each character seemed believable to the audience, for example,
Buzz McCallister(Devin Ratray), Kevin’s older brother, plays the stereotypic
mean older brother. During the time Kevin and Buzz talk to each other, it is
clear that there is tension, and because the actors performed at a high level it
was very believable and truly brought life to the film.

During this movie, Kevin McCallister goes through a series of fearful

external events including being left home alone for days and having to
confront two thiefs. These fears actually push Kevin forward as he turns
from a small helpless boy who has “never packed a suitcase before” to a
mature eight year old who takes care of his house when he is home alone.
This makes the audience smile in the end after going through the stress
because of the series of fears Kevin must go through to get stronger. Because
of its interesting plot, believable characters, and a hilarious script, I would
definitely recommend this family friendly film to anyone searching for a
comedic film.

Top Gun Maverick

Top Gun: Maverick is a 2022 American

action drama film directed by Joseph Kosinski
and written by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer
and Christopher McQuarrie, from a story by
Peter Craig and Justin Marks.
The sequel to Top Gun (1986), the film
stars Tom Cruise as Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell reprising his role from
the original, alongside Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen
Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer. Top Gun Maverick
released in the box office on May 27, 2022 by Paramount Pictures.
This film tells the story of the great naval aviator of more than 30
years, Pete Mitchell who is assigned to lead his juniors on a mission. Pete
only has less than three weeks to make all his juniors have the skills and
strong mental  to carry out the mission.
The mission that must be carried out is quite dangerous, so the juniors must
have jet maneuvering skills and also high concentration. The action of
chasing fighter jets in the air is one of the stunning displays and the main
attraction of this film.
The most unique fact of this film is about Tom Cruise operating a real fighter
jet. At first, he was skeptical about this project, but the production team
twisted Tom Cruise's arm by sending him to the Naval Air Facility in El
Centro (California) to ride an F-14 until finally he was convinced to take this
film.
Reportedly, Top Gun: Maverick managed to earn Rp 11 trillion and
became Tom Cruise's most successful film. I think they really deserve it.
This film not only emphasizes the skill side as a pilot, but there are stories of
family, love, friendship, competition, and friendship. This film deserves to be
the best film in 2022.
If you are a person who likes action or adventure genre films, then
this film will amaze you. Tom Cruise's expertise in "playing" fighter jets
amazed the audience. You will have a great experience if you watch it in a
4D cinema.

Laskar Pelangi
Laskar Pelangi is a film adapted from
the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata.
This 125-minute film was released on
September 26, 2006, and was directed by Riri
Riza. The screenplay for Laskar Pelangi was written by Salman Aristo, assisted
by Riri Riza and Mira Lesmana.
Laskar Pelangi tells the story of children from Belitung Village who are
categorized as poor children in Belitung. These children do not stop trying to
improve their future. They are students of SD Muhammadiyah, the oldest
elementary school in Belitung village. There are 10 students in this school, so
they cannot be separated from the threat of closure.
The days that go by are increasingly carving memories, happiness, and
full of laughter. However, they are still trying in their own way in studying.
Until they finally get proof that even though the facilities are limited, they still
work hard and become smart students.
Many lessons can be learned from this film about education, friendship,
never giving up, and working hard. The story is delivered very well and the
emotions presented in this film are so felt, sad, happy, happy, etc. The
characters who are native children also add value to this film.
The Laskar Pelangi film is a film that is worth watching for all people.
There are many life lessons to be learned. It's a shame if you haven't seen this
film.

TEXT 2

Merry Riana : Mimpi Sejuta Dolar

Merry Riana is a successful young woman

entrepreneur, writer, and motivator. Her life’s
story is told in a movie, Merry Riana “Million
Dollar Dream”, which is adapted from her book
with the same title. This film visualizes her struggle to survive from
difficulty of life and become successful.
The violence that happened in Jakarta and other big cities in
Indonesia in May 1998 makes Merry Riana forced to flee to Singapore.
Merry Riana’s father decided to send his daughter to Singapore because he
was afraid of the unsafe condition. She went alone to Singapore with the
support money that was only enough to buy food for five days. Fortunately,
Merry Riana met with her best friend, Irene, who wanted to go to university
in the there, too. With Irene’s help, Merry could live in a boarding house.
She was also accepted in one of the best college there. But, it could only be
reached if Merry paid $40,000. The only hope was to take  a loan college
student that could only be obtained if Merry had a guarantor. Then, Merry
met her senior, Alva, who was very reckoning. He gave many requirements
before he finally agreed to help Merry. He also had Merry look for side job.
Merry realized that she should be successful as soon as possible. She did
various work, from spreading online business brochure, until playing withe
high risky shares. The condition of her economy was moving up and down.
Problem of love also occurred when Alva expressed his feeling to Merry.
Meanwhile, Merry knew it well that Irene fell in love with Alva.

The acting of Chelsea Islan (Merry Riana) in thit movie is very

good. She can impersonate Merry Riana’s character very well. But, it
would be better if there was no kissing scene.

I think this is an inspirational movie which can motivate people to

be successful at young age. It brings good spirit for young men in
Indonesia. The script writer is successful to bring a set of interesting
conflicts which make the plot of this movie become alive.

Example of Review Text about Movie

Get Married

Illustrating the current situation happening in Indonesia, Get Married

presents the figures of unemployment. A few big-name celebrities show
up in cameo roles. The movie tells about a true friendship of four
youngsters Mae (Nirina Zubir), Guntoro (Desta ‘Club Eighties’), Eman
(Aming), dan Beni (Ringgo Agus Rahman) who judge themselves as the
most frustrated people in Indonesia. Soon, they turn out to be street kids
and spend most of their times at street, bullying people who pass by.

Suddenly, it comes to a moment when Mae is persuaded to grant her

parents’ wish to have a grandchild. Mae’s parents, (Meriam Bellina dan
Jaja Mihardja) firmly state that Mae must get married in a little while.
Soon, they are busy finding candidates who would marry their only
daughter. However, along the process of finding the right one for Mae,
the three male friends of Mae turn out to be brutal evaluators for the
candidates. In the mean time, Mae falls badly in love with Rendy
(Richard Kevin), a rich, handsome and kind-hearted man. Unfortunately
Rendy, Mae, Guntoro, Eman, Beni are brought into a misunderstanding,
and soon fights break out between the two groups of Mae and Rendy.

Written based on some of youngsters’ real-life brotherhood experiences

— this story will stir you to your emotional core while bringing out your
sense of brotherhood.
There are a lot of little things and big things that make this movie worth
watching. The story is good, the banter is great, the relationships
between the characters are great, and it’s a fun time at the movies.
While some of the jokes are amusing, some of the fights go on a few bit
too long.
