Kako dodajemo nastavak -ing glagolima u Present Continuous
(Progressive) Tense:

1. Većina glagola dobija nastavak –ing

playing opening reading

staying looking eating
crying listening drawing

write - writing close - closing make - making

have - having move - moving drive - driving
give - giving hide - hiding leave - leaving

put – putting stop - stopping get - getting

swim – swimming drop - dropping cut – cutting

hit - hitting

UPOTREBA: Kada koristimo Present Continuous Tense?

(1)

The Present Continuous (Progressive) Tense koristimo da opišemo radnje koje

radimo u trenutku govora, to jest one se dešavaju SADA (NOW) baš kada o njima

Now At the moment In this picture Be quiet!

Listen! Look! Be careful! Shhh!

Primeri:

I am eating an apple now.

She is watching TV at the moment.

Look! The boys are playing football.

Listen! The girl is playing the piano.

Shh! The baby is sleeping.

Be quiet! I am talking.

In this picture, I’m wearing a beautiful hat and my mum is wearing sunglasses.
(2)

Present Continuous = AROUND NOW

kaže – around now.

Primeri:

 He is writing another novel now.

 He plays for Partizan but this season he is playing for Red Star.

(on je fudbaler Partizana ali samo ove sezone on igra za Crvenu Zvezdu – ova sezona je duži vremenski
period u sadašnjosti, to jest u njegovom sadašnjem životu)

 I am studying Biology.

 I am wearing a dress today.

 This month/This year I’m leaving in Paris.

(a) today
(b) this month, this year, this season, this week...(sve sa this);
(c) now – može, ali u širem kontekstu (to jest misli se ne samo na now u trenutku
govora nego obuhvata malo duži vremenski period)

Present Continuous for FUTURE ARRANGEMENTS

future arrangements

ili

(social arrangements in the future)

/društveni dogovori vezani za budućnost/

 I’m seeing Mark tonight.

 She is travelling next Monday.
 I’m having an appointment at the dentist’s this evening.
 We are going to the village at the weekend.

After school at the weekend

tomorrow on Friday evening

This evening this afternoon

next week next month ...
