Messages:
1. Ifa says that the person for whom this Odu is revealed shall be blessed with large
followership. She will not lack the assistance of people at any point in time. Ifa says that if the
owner of this Odu has been deserted by people or if in want of children, aides, associates etc.
she needs to offer Ebo with 1tortoise, 2snails, 1 she-goat, ekunkun leaves, earthen plate, gin,
palm-oil and money. On this, Ifa says:

2. Ifa says that the owner of this Odu is Aya-Ifa. She needs to uphold Ifa and be more
dedicated in order to be able to have children and who will be a source of her happiness. They
will also be successful in their various fields of Endeavour. This person also needs to be
married to a Babalawo and if presently she is not, her husband needs to be initiated into Ifa. By
so doing, she will become a happy and proud mother of her children. She is however advised to
offer Ebo with 4 rats, 4 fish, yams, she-goat and money. She also needs o feed Ifa with the she-
goat. On this Ifa says:

Translation
To accompany one for long
And to accompany one far away
You cannot accompany for long and far away
For you to escort me to the home of Irosun, that is rare o come by in Ifa
This was the Ifa cast for Mobilola
The same Ifa was cast for Sie-Ejide
The wife of Orunmila
When she was lamenting her inability to have children
She was advised to offer Ebo
Sie-Ejide, It is only when you get to the place of Ope (Ifa)
That you can be blessed with children

3. Ifa foresees Ire of longevity for the person for whom this Odu is revealed not to live a
flamboyant life. Whatever social engagement must be done on a low key without any pomp
and pageantry. She needs to offer Ebo and propitiate her Ori in order to avert untimely death.
The person born by this Odu must also avoid the situation where by

4 Ifa says that the person for whom this Odu is revealed is naturally a wife of Ifa.
She needs to be more devoted to Ifa as Ifa in return will bless her with good
children, protect them and lead them aright. It is only through her devotion,
service and worship of Ifa that all her desires and especially her prayers with
regard to the issue of her children can be answered by Ifa. She however needs
to offer ebo with 2 hens, 2 rats, 2 fish and money. There after,she will serve
Ifa with each of the items for the ebo. On this, Ifa says:

A student awo can not dare it
This was the Ifa cast for Fadeke
She was lamenting her inability to have children
She was advised to offer ebo
She complied
Compliance to offer ebo is supportive
Non-compliance is not
Not too log, soon after
Come and meet us in abundant children.
5 Ifa advises the owner of this Odu not to divorce her husband or allow her to be
seduced by another man. If she allows this, both the woman and the new
husband may be faced with a lot of untold problems arising from attack from the
family of the former husband. On the other hand, if the owner of this Ifa had left,
separated or divorced her husband, Ifa advises her to go back to her
matrimonial home re-unite with her husband. She is also to offer ebo and
propitiate the four corners of the home (igun merin ile). On this, Irosun Owonrin
stanza reads thus:

Dia fun Orunmila
Baba nlo ree gba orere omo Onijaye
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
Nje eke ile e dide

When going to seduce Orere, the daughter of Onijaye
He was advised to offer ebo

6 Ifa advises the person for whom this Odu is revealed not to escort or see off a
visitor beyond the frontage of her house whenever they come to visit her. Ifa
says that there is a particular Ire that is forthcoming; she must need the advice
so that the Ire is not taken over by the visitor. She needs to offer ebo with 4
pigeons, 4 guinea fowls, 4 rats, 4 fish, 1 she-goat and money. She should
also propitiate Ifa. On this, Ifa says:

To accompany one for long
And to accompany on far away
You cannot accompany for long and far away
For you to escort me to the home of Irosun, that is rare to come
by in Ifa
The slender palm tree by the side of Ilala
This was the Ifa cast for Olomo-agbele-foju-sinni (Orunmila)
He was lamenting for want of all Ire in life
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
I can no longer see you off anymore
Ifa will see you off on my behalf

7. Ifa advises the person for whom this Odu is revealed to exercise a lot of
patience with regard to success and accomplishment. Ifa says that she should
not jump on the bandwagon or hustle along with others. With patience, focus /
determination and then of course ebo, she will succeed more than others. Ifa
also advises her no to compete with others that she will succeed where others
have failed. On this, Ifa says:

A gong cannot be sounded in heaven


For the sound to be heard on earth
A gong cannot be sounded on earth
For the sound to be heard in heaven
These were Ifa’s declarations to Orunmila
When going to war along with 201 Irunmole
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
Ifa, please, be patient
Edu, please patience is the watchword
Whoever is patient is guaranteed of financial success
Whoever is patient is guaranteed of a good spouse
Whoever is patient is guaranteed of children
Whoever is patient is guaranteed of all Ire in life
Whoever is patient is guaranteed of a victorious battle

In the stanza above, all the 201 Irunmole decided to go to war. Orunmila went for Ifa
consultation and was advised to be patient that he should not go along on the same
day with them. Orunmila complied. By the time he went to war, all the other Irunmole
had already conquered and taken all the loots without almost anything left. Orunmila
wondered what on earth shall be his own loot. Suddenly he saw an old woman sitting
under the tree. This old woman had been left behind because the Irunmole believed
that she was of no value or use to them. While, Orunmila kept pondering, Esu Odara
appeared and advised him to take the old woman home as his own loot. On getting
home, he took care of the old woman, gave her food, clothed her and accommodated
her.

After a while, the woman asked Orunmila whether he knew her name. orunmila replied
No. she said that her name was Suuru, Patience and that all her children had been
captured by the warlords. They were Aje, financial deity; okun, cowries’ strings; ide,
brass; Ologinniginni aso irada, valuable clothing materials, etc. She said that they are
still coming back to her.

One day, Ogun’s household broke into chaos, everything seemed upside down. He
went to Orunmila’s house for Ifa consultation and was advised to offer his loot as ebo.
When he brought Aje that he had captured in war, Aje saw her mother in Orunmila’s
house and decided to stay with her. Other Irunmole too had one problem or the other
that led to consult Ifa at Orunmila’s house. They too were advised to bring their loot as
ebo if ever they wanted peace and calm in their households. They complied and all
their loots had automatically become Orunmila’s. This was how the children of the old
woman came to live with Orunmila and he became prosperous thereafter.

13. Ifa says that the owner of this Ifa shall not experience want in her life. That
all her hardship and wants in life shall end and then be replaced with
comfort and wealth. In this wise, she needs to offer ebo with 2 pigeons, 2
guinea fowls, 2 roosters, 1 she-goat, and money. The she-goat should
used to feed Ifa. On this, Ifa says:
