    INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVE

    Skittles are multicolored fruit-flavored button-shaped candies produced by


    the Wrigley Company, a division of Mars, Inc. Skittles consist of hard sugar
    shells imprinted with the letter 'S', they are made from Sugar, Corn Syrup,
    Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil Citric Acid, Tapioca Dextrin,,, Sodium
    Citrate,and Carnauba,. Skittles come in five different colors, these being
    red, orange, yellow, green, and purple.This SBA is applied to
    statistics.Statistics is a branch of mathematics dealing with the collection,
    analysis, interpretation, and presentation of masses of numerical data.The
    area of statistics that this SBA will be about is probability. Probability is the
    branch of statistics concerning numerical descriptions of how likely an
    event is to occur, or how likely it is that a proposition is true. To make this
    experiment a fair test 5 packages of skittles will be counted to see if fruit
    loops are biased towards any colors.

    The objective of this experiment is to find out if skittles are biased towards
    any of its five colors.

    METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION
    This experiment was conducted on the 17th of January 2023. 5 packages
    of skittles were counted and divided into different groups. The amounts of
    skittles were noted on a sheet of paper The paper had 5 titles representing
    each color in a pack of skittles and a stroke was placed next to the number
    on the paper which corresponded with the color of each pack. This
    information was then placed in a tally chart and presented below for
    analysis.

    ANALYSIS OF DATA
    The Maximum number of skittles chosen from the pack was 63 whereas the minimum number
    chosen was 41.The mean of this data is found by multiplying each outcome (x) by its
    corresponding frequency (f), finding their sum then dividing it by the total frequency.
