    Despite my passion for math, physics, and science in general, I had never imagined myself pursuing a

    degree in Computer Science. However, my recent experiences with programming have inspired me to
    pursue it, and I am excited to apply for the BS in Computer Science program at LUMS.

    Growing up, I faced many challenges due to my stutter. Despite this, I never let it hold me back and
    always pushed myself to excel in my studies, particularly in math and physics. In high school, I didn't
    choose to study computer science, but I never let that discourage me from learning more about the
    field. I had a quest for knowledge and I pushed myself to read books and understand different
    phenomena by myself.

    Recently, I started learning Python on my own and discovered a new world of possibilities. I became
    fascinated by the way that programming can be used to solve complex problems, and I knew that I
    wanted to pursue a career in this field. The ability to use code to simulate the real world and to create
    efficient and effective solutions to problems has always been appealing to me.

    I believe that my background in math and physics, as well as my recent experience with programming,
    will serve me well in the program. Additionally, my stutter has taught me to be persistent and
    determined in the face of challenges, and I am eager to apply these qualities to my studies in computer
    science. I always try to view things from a different perspective, I don't just blindly follow others but I
    put my thoughts and research into everything

    I am excited to be a part of a prestigious university like LUMS and I believe that the opportunities
    provided by the program will help me to achieve my goals. I am confident that my unique background
    and determination to succeed will make me a valuable asset to the program.
    As a student I have gradually built up my confidence over the years, considering the fact that I used to
    stutter a lot and still face it, though it got a little better with time, I am now determined to excel in the
    field of computer science. Growing up in an environment where schools are a center for rote learning, I
    never got enough opportunities to manifest my creativity. Yet, imagination was what I got to keep my
    enthusiasm alive. Moreover, I turned myself to reading books, thus making myself aware of the
    happenings around me. It was hard to keep a balance between my studies and my habits. But this
    journey has taught me the value of perseverance and hard work.

    Not a long time ago, I got interested in Computer science, and this interest intensified with each coming
    day. I read some articles about it, watched some videos, and was fascinated by its various applications in
    the real world. I am particularly interested in using computer science to help solve the energy problems
    of Pakistan. I am also aware of the contributions made by faculty members of LUMS in this regard,
    through their research and publications. Especially the publications of Professor Dr. Naveed Arshad and
    Professor Dr. Mian Muhammad Awais mentioned on the website are very intriguing, although I couldn’t
    read them.

    I am also interested in working in space-related areas, where my skills in computer science can be put to
    use to make a real impact. I can work in SUPARCO, and with enough advancements in research and
    technology, it can, no doubt, compete with other space organizations. I am determined to learn as much
    as possible about the field of computer science and to use this knowledge to make a positive impact on
    society.

    I am confident that my background and determination will make me a valuable addition to the
    Computer Science program and I am excited to contribute to the field’s advancement. I am committed
    to do well in my studies and to take advantage of this chance to pursue my interest in computer science
    and address important challenges.
