I used a combination of the designs I referenced for the sun and cloud, for the sun I used the
glow sun effect from adventure time to light up the sky and the spikes I used as reference
from the other sun I had sourced. Upon also looking at many different animations I decided to
try and use less saturated colors in hopes of making It more appealing to the eye. For the
cloud I used the dark colored stormy cloud reference while fusing it with the soft rounder

animation style I was going from. As well as that the background plating was also a skull that
helped when I was adding shadows to the bedroom in the first scene. Lastly before
production I looked into phonemes and created my own reference sheet for it to make the
process of frame by frame lip syncing easier as I knew exactly how the mouth should work for
each word.
For the most part I stuck to what I researched But at the beginning I discarded a few idea, my
first was to use the blurred movement effect to have the sun quickly pull out its hands and
squish the cloud, I thought of this as it was often used in many animated shows like tom and

jerry but I never used it in the end due to not managing my time well enough so I had to
substitute it to using the blurred movement to a not as extreme extent by moving the clouds
hands to its hat and using his hat to make a quick runaway.
If I did it again I would look into researching squash and stretch more, I think if I was able to

key but easy skill I could add to my animation while not over complicating things.
I would use secondary research to Watch YouTube videos and tutorials as to how I would

create fluidity.

Task 2/3: Reflect on your own design, practical skills and build. (U2 3:3.2)
This is about the practical skills you learnt each week. Feel free to go back over the Animation Teams channel if it
helps you remember. Answer each question, including any relevant screen grabs.
Tweening, tweening was a key part of my animation process that we were taught as it was a

as it helped a lot by moving assets I needed without me having to frame by frame.
I didn’t use the lip syncing that we were taught during the “Hey everybody” skills lesson
because I wanted more fluidity and movement in the mouth instead of the same few mouths
What did you discard and why? for each specific syllable or letter. I did this because I noticed when speaking normally my
mouth doesn’t always move the same but relatively does do what the phonemes sheet said it
was so I made it more fluid in hopes of it not being as robotic.
I would include the skill we learnt In space ship two-shot as my Skies were very basic and it
would have added more to the story if I added more movement to the background by flipping

why?
Making the scene more interesting and detailed is a common though of where I would go
next if I had more time and I think it’s definitely something I need to learn to improve on.
Perspective, I don’t think I’ve fully grasped the perspective and depth it creates as I tried to

something to revisit in the future to add to the background and scenes as a whole.
I would like to look into Roterscoping, As in a few animations I looked at (specifically amazing
world of gumball) roterscoping was very effective in having already make background and

wall. I believe as the sun and cloud were real life things roterscoping would have been a
interesting skill to use in the project.
I feel my animation turned out well as it had a easy and cartoony style with good fluid
movement like shows such as adventure time and amazing world of gumball so I believe it

the back to add more to the movement and flow of the animation.

I discarded audio editing because I was happy with how each audio originally sounded. I was

found and created audio perfect to what I wanted for my animation.

My final audio work turned out very good in my opinion compared to professional animations
