Paper recycling is the process of turning waste/scrap paper into new paper products.
Three categories of paper that can be used as feedstock for making recycled paper.
1. Mill Broke - it is paper trimmings and other paper scrap from the manufacture of paper and is
recycled in a paper mill.
2. Pre-consumer waste is a material which left the paper mill but was discarded before it was ready
for consumer use.
3. Post-consumer waste is a waste type produced by the end consumer of a material stream; that
is, where the waste-producing use did not involve the
production of another product.

D. Discussing New Concept and Practicing New Skills

Material that can be recycled:
● Paper
Papers vary in color, thickness and texture. White office paper is made of much
higher quality raw material than brown paper or paper towels. Recycled white office paper
can make more high-grade paper products. Nevertheless, a mixture of old newspapers,
office paper, junk mail and cardboard can be recycled to produce low grade paper products.
Corrugated cardboard is much more difficult to recycle than thin cardboards used to
package groceries, gifts, toys, cosmetics and wardrobes.
Examples of projects that are made from recycled paper are the following:

D. Developing Mastery (Leads to Formative Assessment)
