Vice President of Engineering

Shift5 is seeking a full-time Vice President of Engineering to lead our talented and growing engineering
team. Not for the faint of heart, this position requires a strategic thinker who can bring a team together to
accomplish a common goal and a hands on leader who simply never fully separates themselves from the
day to day operations.

This position will collaborate closely with executive leadership to execute our product vision while building
the architecture that will both meet today’s needs and scale into the future. You will guide our engineers
through the design, development and deployment of our product. Having experience with the challenges
and best practices associated with building and scaling an enterprise software product, you will help us
create processes and systems that will get in front of and past these speed bumps quickly. You’ll also
partner with our hardware and embedded software teams to prioritize and optimize resources. Reporting
directly to our Chief Product Officer, the person in this role will manage a large team of software
engineers.

We’re looking for someone who is execution and delivery minded, knowledgeable and passionate about
building great teams, specifically teams who are responsible for developing and delivering products that
meet and exceed customer expectations. You are an engineer at heart, who will leverage your technical
expertise to constantly raise the bar and ensure the team consistently delivers outstanding results.
Establishing processes for quality, security, scalability and supportability comes naturally to you. You
have worked in a startup previously - rapidly building technology, teams, and processes from scratch is
exciting and rewarding, not daunting. If this sounds like you, drop us a line because we’d love to hear
from you.

Shift5 is a rapidly growing cybersecurity scale-up. We specialize in cybersecurity technology for

operational systems, data collection, and insights for a wide variety of operational systems. To put it
simply, we defend planes, trains and tanks from cyberattack. We are a collaborative, passionate and
driven cadre of cyber security experts. Our engineers are multidisciplinary and our team is dynamic.
We’re a growing company focused on helping our customer’s fleets run smarter and safer by capitalizing
on mountains of data resting right about the wheels. Come join us.

• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-level reliable and scalable solutions
• Experience delivering products to US Department of Defense customers, working within classified
