OBJECTIVE
- Sing a song
SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils able to sing a song at least in 5 words independently and in 5 simple sentences with little guidance .
Lesson delivery
4.Have students open their books to page 35. ( Track 51 )
5.Play the CD and have students to point the pictures in the vocabulary section and repeat.
6.Play the CD a few times and have students point to the words and repeat.
ACTIVITIES 7.Say the words again in random order and have students repeat and point.
8.Direct students’ attention to the pictures around the song and ask students to guess what season it is in each picture.
9.Then ask students what the children are doing.
10.Tell the students that they’re going to listen to a song and ask them to guess what it’s going to be.
11.Play the song once and have students listen.
12.Play the song a second time and have students match the verses that mentioned the seasons to the corresponding pictures. Pause after each
verse to allow students have enough time to match.
13.Check students’ answers as a class by reading the verses of the song and having students point to the correct picture.
Post-lesson
14. Invite them to sing the song in the classroom .

4. Draw students’ attention to the grammar box. Read the question aloud and explain to students that we want to know about one’s favourite
season.
ACTIVITIES 5.Explain to students that we use the phrases My favourite season and Your favourite season to express what one’s favourite season is.
6.Direct students’ attention to the picture and ask them what they are doing.
7.Play the CD and have students chorally repeat the exchange . Have individual students model the exchange .

8.Divide students into pairs.
9.Have them take turns playing the game.
10.Have some pairs play the game in front of the class.
Post-lesson
11.Ask each student what his or her favourite season is before teacher leaves .

- Learn preposition of time
SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupils able to learn preposition of time at least in 5 words independently and 5 simple sentences with little guidance .
Lesson delivery
3.Direct students’ attention to the story . Ask students to look at the first two frames and ask them what season it is.
4.Ask students to tell teacher what they think is happening.
5.Ask students to point to the appropriate bubbles and follow along as teacher play the CD.( Track 55 )
6.Play the CD again and encourage students to shadow read.
ACTIVITIES
7.Play the CD once more and pause after each phrase for students to repeat.
8.Ask students comprehension questions.
9.Model acting out the dialogue with two students . Choose three students to act it out for the class . Then have students act out the dialogue in
groups of three .
10.Have groups of students perform in front of the whole class . Use the gift bag as prop for Greg’s gift .

11.Play the song Four Seasons in the SB on page 35 ( Track 52 ).

4.Say and write My birthday is in ( September ) on the board and have students repeat it .
ACTIVITIES 5.Choose a random student and ask him/her When’s your birthday? Encourage him/her to answer and write the answer on the board.
6.Then say We have English on Friday .Write this sentence on the board.
7.Ask students to guess when we use in and on . Elicit that we use in before months and on before days .
8.Direct students’ attention to the grammar box. Read the sentences out loud and students repeat after teacher .
9.Then direct students attention to the pictures and ask them what is happening.
10.Explain to students that they have to read activity 1 again and write the day under each picture .
Post-lesson
6.Students do the activity in the workbook page 27 activity 1-3 .
7.Check students’ answers.
