1. Look for some ways how to handle /motivate a student whose situation is:

a. Rape victim

Keep a safe house open for a day, a place for women who've been raped to
get counseling and referral to appropriate treatment. The counselors know how
to help, and there's a place to sleep. This is important because there are no
motels, and it's not safe to sleep by the side of the road.

b. Drug addict

Search for local anonymous support groups. Besides detoxification and

rehabilitation, your loved one may need to attend group or independent therapy.

 Many organizations exist with regular (often daily) meetings to promote drug-free
living and a support network of individuals who have conquered their addictions.
 These groups often offer anonymous support and follow the 12-Step program
initially developed for Alcoholics Anonymous.

c. Alcoholic

Think of your family as a motivation. They will be your motivation in the

first phase to decide that you really want to stop drinking. Think of them when
you feel you will experience alcohol withdrawal symptoms like seizures and DTs.
Always think that you want to get their trust back and that you need their trust to
be able to fully recover from alcohol addiction.

d. Broken family

Reaching out to family members can be the most difficult part of repairing
your relationship. This is particularly true if your family history is filled with
trauma, or other stressors. If you want to repair family connections, you need to
take the first step. Write a letter, make a phone call or pay a personal visit to a
family member’s home. Let them know that, while the past has been difficult, you
would like the opportunity to change things and move forward. If they are open
to it, you are on your way to reconnection.

2. Cite some ways on how to prevent drug addiction.

1) Avoid addicti ng substances.

The only way to keep away from the scary, uncontrollable drug cravings is
to never experiment with substances in the first place. Without that first feeling
of euphoria, we don’t really know what we’re missing. On the other hand, maybe
we do know what we are missing: the pain, the struggle and the feeling of
hopelessness once a drug takes over our lives.
2) Spend ti me with your family and friends.

Those with parents, families and good friends who are involved in their
lives are more likely to avoid drugs and alcohol. Families that spend time
together, hang out and eat meals together have more opportunities for insightful
and/or continued conversation.

3. What are the consequences if a person commits adultery/cumcubinage with

his/her parent.

Adultery has painful consequences, affecting the adulterers physically,

emotionally and spiritually. It is the No. One reason for divorce. Possible physical
outcomes involve not only the adulterer, but those damaged by the act.

A few negative results include illegitimate births and abortions. Other

physical damage from adultery includes life-threatening sexually transmitted
diseases like Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and the Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The emotional scars of guilt, fear and anxiety can
devastate everyone affected by adultery. Participants suffer, losing their self-
esteem as personalities are shattered and depression sets in. If not treated, the
emotional effects can lead to an early death. Adultery usually leads to divorce,
hurting everyone connected to the offenders, including grown children.

1.In your own opinion what are to be our top priorities in your family life?

You will learn as you get older that our personal priorities are what define us as
individuals,(my qualities and values). In order they are 1-myself,2- my spouse,3-
family,4-work.We are not perfect people and we make mistakes in our younger
and formative years by which we learn from however long that takes. For what
I've learned, from where I come from and for where I’m going in life is what
matters to me, all I have to live for is today. I've put this in the context of the past,
the present and the future. Success is measured only by the definition we put on
it ,its not about money, career, houses, etc. Am I successful, yes and in my own
little ways and means.

2. Explain this family quotes by Brad Henry.

“ Families are the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great
heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter”

This means that My family has always stood by the many decisions I have
made regardless whether or not their lives may have been altered.  I only
hope that they will be proud of me with my accomplishment as I am of their
commitment to my future and goals.

3. Why is family considered as the basic unit of our society? How it influences the
society?

A society is defined as an organized group(s) of interdependent people,

generally sharing a common territory, language and culture and who act together for
collective survival and well-being. Interdependent peoples are such that they rely on
people within that particular society to attain their subsistence. A family is
considered to range from one parent to two, to multiple generations of parents and
their offspring. Families do not always share the same household, and do not always
support one another. However, for sake of argument I'm going to assume that you
meant people who occupy the same household. While a given society, coupled with
their culture, can meet the complex needs of the individual (Such as Law and order
for people), the household that a person resides in must meet a person's basic
survival needs(subsistence, social relation and shelter).
