Then, the field study began. October 19, 2021, at exactly 11 a.m. The night
before that day, I felt a little nervous. Ma'am Conie was my 7th grade teacher at
ENHS. I remember how she taught the class, and she was very nice. So, when I
found out he was our trictic teacher, I was overjoyed. This is our very first meeting to
observe. Before Ma'am Conie Lagmay begins discussing their lesson with his
students, he orients and introduces us to them, and we introduce ourselves one by
one, stating our purpose to observe. And we said that we would observe the
behavior of the students and the teacher.
When their class started, ma’am Conie Lagmay was monitoring attendance,
and she called one student every section to check the attendance. Ma'am Conie
asked them why they had chosen this cookery class. The student is shy, but they will
be reciting and they always respond to their teacher. Ma’am Conie is very confident
in how she discussed the lessons with her students. Ma'am, Conie called on his one
student to answer the questions, but the student was shy. And she called other
students to raise their hands in the chat box named Jhon Bernard, and he
confidently answered the question. While their class is going, some of the students
left in the virtual class may have a slow internet connection. When Ma’am had
finished talking, we interviewed the students.
I get enough knowledge in this lesson. I'm observing the students and the
teacher's technique, but all the lessons of Ma’am Conie are great. He is good at
explaining, and the students are good at reading and responding to the teacher.
From my observations, I learned more about the roles and responsibilities of a
teacher and was also inspired by them to be a good teacher someday.
October 21, 2021 3:00 p.m. Second day of our observation After their class
began, Ma'am Conie called one student from each section to check attendance and
one student to lead a prayer. Ma'am Conie asks questions as to what you learned in
the previous lesson; the students are willing and ready to answer.
Ma'am Conie Lagmay began the lesson with a discussion of measuring tools
and equipment. When Ma'am Conie asked what measuring tools and equipment
tools are used in the kitchen, a number of students responded appropriately, but
others did not respond because they seemed shy or had a bad signal.
after his discussion he gave them an activity and he reminded those who had
not sent him a video of their first performance.
I'm grateful because I now have more knowledge regarding the topic for today. And
the knowledge I gained will one day serve as my guide. I learned a lot by observing
the student and the teacher.

Before they start, he reminds his students to turn off their microphones when
someone speaks; one of his students lead a prayer; and then their teacher begins to
discuss their lessons.
As quickly as their class started, I noticed that the same students were
engaged in their lessons, reciting and answering questions. John Bernard, Sofia
Janika Baccay, Mary Tomas, Jhon Bernard was called to read the definition of
measuring materials, and she actively read.
Every student was glad after the discussion, and they had learned a lot
because they were actively cooperating and behaving properly. On this particular
day, I also learned about Ma'am Conie. He explains things well, and I comprehend
what he says. I'll apply the knowledge I gained as a guide, and I'm thankful because
I learned a lot.
November 25, 2021. At exactly 3pm in the afternoon. Ma'am Conie greets
her students before beginning class to make sure they are all right. Ma'am Conie
called one student from each section to check attendance and one student to lead a
prayer.
Ma'am Conie explains what Mice en Place is. She also shows a video about
the subject. After she has discussed the topic, she asks the students about it, and
they respond very well. They are attentive and respectful in their responses.
Ma'am Conie give an assignment for their students, and the students make a
video of their very own salad recipe, using veggies from their community.
