    Crochet Pattern

    Materials and Information


    yarn in red, a little bit in green and black
    (for a change use alternatively orange, salmon, yellow, white, ...)
    hook size according to yarn
    With cotton yarn and a 3mm hook the flower is approx. 6 - 7 cm in diameter.

    Abbrevations (US terminology used)


    st (stitch), ch (chain), slst (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), tr (treble crochet),
    flo (front loop only), blo (back loop only)

    Change of colors
    instead of knotting and weaving in the tails pull them straight, place them left of the hook on the
    previous round and go on chrocheting the next round

    Pattern
    R1+2: it´s not necessary to close the round with a slst, but if you like ...

    R1: green, sc8 in magic ring, fasten off, maybe you want to leave the tail of the magic ring for the stalk,
    make a knot at the end
    R2: black, sc2 in each st, fasten off (16)
    R3: red, 2 inner petals, flo:
    ch3 + tr, tr2 x7, tr + ch3 + slst + ch3 + tr in next st, tr2 x7, tr + ch3 + slst in first st of round, fasten off
    R4: blo in R2, start where you want, but not exactly where the 2 petals meet (f.e. 3 sts in front of one of the sts
    where the inner petals meet): (sc1, sc2) repeat, slst1 in first st of R4 (24)
    R5: 3 outer petals: ch3 + tr, [tr2 x7, tr + ch3 + slst + ch3 + tr in next st] x2, tr2 x7, tr + ch3 + slst in first st of
    R5, fasten off, weave in ends

    You missed a stitch or loop? You will hardly notice when the flower is finished.
