station. They are going to celebrate the lebaran day in their home-town in East Java.
Mr.Darmo, a factory worker in Jakarta, always spends his annual vacation with his

Farmer Gray was the kindest master in the world. He was proud of me, and called

Newspapers and magazines are very imnportant in a modern life. People in cities,
towns and villages want current information. Newspapers and magazines provide
them with news about politics, crime, entertainment, sports and other information you
need.
The production of newspapers and magazines is very hard work. Journalists search
news. They try hard to interview people to get the correct issue direct from the
horse's mouth. Then they write it good and interesting articles.
The editors decide the headlines and the news layout. They decide which articles
must go on the front page which news is printed inside the paper. After all pages are
ready then a managing editor approves and now the newspaper is ready to publish.

It is true that newspapers are an important source of information. Many people begin
their day by reading the papers. In this way they learn what is going on in the world.
Sometimes, however they don't have time to read the news carefully and must be
satisfied with a quick look at the front page. At other times they only have ume to
glance at the headlines.
There are newspapers to satisfy every reader. In big cities there are many types of
papers, with several different editions every day. But some years ago, in small towns
there were fewer newspapers and pernaps only one edition each day. In some
areas, the paper is printed weekly.
Most newspapers have several scctions. In addition to the front page with the most
important news. There are the sports section, the society page, the comics, the
amuse ment section, business page and the editorial.
