Face to Face Classroom Observation 1

Grade 12 HUMSS Masinag and Sandiwa

I. Objectives

Content Standard The learners demonstrate an understanding of the values


and differences of the sources of media and information
Performance Standard The learner shall be able to examine the reliability,
accuracy, value, authority, and timeliness of the different
sources of media and information.
Learning Competencies The learner…

1. Evaluate everyday media and information with


regard to codes, conventions, and messages; in
regard to the audience, procedures, and other
stakeholders (MIL11/12 MIL A-IIIf-15).
2. Explain how codes and conventions are used in
constructing media messages;
3. Appreciate codes and convention in constructing
and sharing information inside the classroom; and
4. Create their own storyboard and shot list of their
upcoming photo story.

Students will be tasked to watch a video on the different camera styles
and video shots. Students will be task to write the complete list in a piece of pad
paper. Students will then be asked with the following questions:

1. How many of these shots can you relate with? Or have seen overly
with films and TV shows?
2. Why do we need to employ these different cam shots?

a.7 Activity 2 (By Group)


The class will divide into two groups and each group will be given at least
10 minutes to discuss the same topic with the video playing for the second time.
Each group will be given 2 minutes to report and SHOW these shots.

From the student’s work, the teacher will discuss more about the
following:

Technical Codes – ways in which equipment is used to tell the story (camera
techniques, framing, depth of fields, lightning, and exposure etc.)

There are different ways to emphasize the certain thing or objects when watching
a film or TV shows and that is through different camera techniques and angles.
The technical code are ways in which equipment is used to tell the story.

D. Application
1. Students will find his/her partner and make a selfie, choose three different
camera shots using their cellphones and discuss in front of their classmates.

2. Identify the different camera techniques and angles from given pictures below
E. Enhancement Activity

Create a short photo story with the theme, “PAG – IBIG: Si Juan in the
Search of True Love”. Storyboard will be present in front of the class in next
meeting.

ANNOTATIONS:
For this objective, I have attached one lesson plan that shows that I have used research
knowledge and or/principles of teaching and learning in all components of my lesson. From the
review, I was able to engage my students into their prior knowledge. While in the activity, I was
able to let my students explore more ideas about the topic. I let my students answer and
analyze, While the research-based knowledge was used in the analysis and abstraction wherein
the student-centered method, inquiry-based, collaborative practice ang challenge task was also
used.
I have attached here copies of my lesson plan. In every part of the lesson, I see to it that
all the basic principles of teaching and learning are evidence such as Participation, Repetition,
Relevance, Transference and Feedbacks are all integrated in my lesson.
