All professionals need to know different communication styles in the workplace as it is really helpful for

you to convey your ideas or views in a way other can understand well. You should mainly focus on some
workplace communication styles to help you communicate better at work.
In today’s world you know the importance of communication in the industry. Effective interpersonal
communication in the workplace plays a very significant role in the smooth running of any organization.
People who do not have good communication skills are more likely to face tough communication
challenges in the workplace. If there is no efficient and clear impartation of information in a company,
there can be a lack of understanding which can have an adverse effect on the deliverables, thus leading
to a loss in productivity. If one has to survive in the corporate world, he has to have an idea of the
different communication styles in the workplace. We communicate with people every day, but sometimes
we do not adjust our communication style to the audience or situation at hand. This can lead to
confusion, hurt feelings, or misunderstandings.

Part 1
Explain on communication skills and difference communication styles and formats.
Form a group and organize a training event for the target audience. Involve them in an activities to
interact the audience.
Explain how you used communication skills effectively for the event.
Time management skills:
Report should include how you have planned the event and activities, prioritized workloads, used time
management skills effectively. Prepare an agenda for the event and activities.

Design a professional schedule to support the planning of an event, to include contingencies and
justifications of time allocated. E.g. develop your event goal and objectives, organize your team, establish
your budget, create an event master plan, set the date, event trainer, book your venue, brand your Event,
identify sponsors, include contingencies and justifications of time allocated.

You are supposed to get a feedback sheet from the target audience and analyze it.
Explain positives and negatives of during the training event that was faced by audience and how you can
improve.
Interpersonal skills:
You are supposed to write how you have used Soft skills effectively e.g. Responsibility, working with
others, negotiating skills, patience, leadership skills & etc. during the event.
Part 2
Based on the event prepare a presentation (individual) and include how you used communication skills,
time management and interpersonal skills effectively.
Problems are at the focal point of what many individuals do at work each day. Whether
you're tackling an issue for a customer (inner or outside), supporting the individuals who
are taking care of issues, or finding new issues to fathom, the issues you face can be
extensive or little, basic or complex, and simple or troublesome.

this way, being a sure problem solver is truly vital to your prosperity. A lot of that
certainty originates from having a decent procedure to utilize when moving toward an
issue. With one, you can take care of issues rapidly and viably. Without one, your
answers might be inadequate, or you'll stall out and do nothing, with now and then
difficult outcomes

Part 1
Describe what is problem and problem solving skills.
You are supposed to think critically and analyze an existing problem presently facing nowadays
(any problem that you are interested to investigate). Prepare a questioner and distribute to the
target audience. Get the feedback and write a report based on the survey.

Demonstrate the use of different problem-solving techniques in the design and delivery of an
event.
Research and explain use of different problem-solving techniques used in the design and
delivery of an event.

Research on problem solving tools and methods already available and select the one of tools for
your existing problem and apply the tool.
Explain the solution methodologies, time scale and evaluate of whether the problem was solved
or not.
Analyze the process of applying critical reasoning to a given task/activity or an event.

Understand the dynamics of working with others
Functional/transferable skills are gained and strengthened by people throughout your life
through all of your experiences in learning, work and leisure activities. Once you learned the
dynamics of working with others, you will apply these skills in new settings. These are attractive
skills to a potential employer too. This also links with the cross-sectored Employability Matrix:

• Plan and manage time, money and other resources to achieve goals
• Find and suggest new ways to achieve goals and get the job done and achieve goals
• Plan for and achieve your learning goals
• Understand the roles people play in a group and how you can best work with them
• Lead or support and motivate a team to achieve high standards
• Find new and creative ways to solve a problem.

Part 1
Discuss the importance and team dynamics and success and/or failure of a group.

Explain work within a team to achieve a defined goal and the impact of team working in
different environments.

Explain working others and difference between groups and teams.

Evaluate team dynamics, in terms of the group member’s role play in a team and the
effectiveness in terms of achieving shared goals. Use Belbin team roles to explain your team
members. Provide a critical evaluation of your own role and contribution to a group
scenario.

Research on group development and how you apply this development to your group scenario.

IT – Career Plan
Career planning is an important process that will help you choose a rewarding, practical and
pleasing career path. This activity will help you to decide the best way of pursuing your career.
As with any plan, it provides you with a formal and structured way of thinking about your
future by encouraging you to consider how you will get a job in your occupation of choice
once you finish studying. It is like a road map - it outlines where you want to be and how you
will get there.

Part 1

Discuss the importance of CPD and its contribution to own learning.


You should prepare your own CPD and produce a development plan that outlines
responsibilities, performance objectives and required skills, knowledge and learning for own
future goals.

As an employee you will need some sort of motivation to work and should know motivational
methods and techniques. Do self-research into motivational theories and how they can be
used to improve employee performance. Compare and contrast a number of theories and
select a best motivational method as per your view and explain impact they can have on
performance within the workplace.

Write a report on the importance of CPD within organizations to both employee and the
employer. What evidence would be required to measure how effective this CPD is in helping
employees achieve their goals while using their time and resources effectively? (Evaluate a range
of evidence criteria that is used as a measure for effective).
