rewarding. We taught four classes per day for two weeks. I taught students the drums, singing, The
Cupid Shuffle, and basic music rules.

EDUCATION FIRST TOURS — Costa Rica, Spain, and Belize


Group Leader, January 2018 – March 2020
For three years, I led groups of students and parents from Arizona on a tour of a Spanish speaking
country during Spring Break. Students had the opportunity to earn high school and college credit on
tour while they learned about the culture, architecture, flora and fauna of different parts of the world.
Students were given a chance to practice their Spanish speaking skills in authentic situations.

Missionary / Volunteer English Teacher, November 2006 – November 2008
As a missionary, I had the opportunity to provide service to the people of Spain. One of our acts of
service was a weekly English lesson that we offered to the community at large. We taught English one
night per week and followed a curriculum that helped Spanish speakers learn basic songs, polite
phrases and introductions, and conversational English.

In the 2021 – 2022 school year, I was selected by my peers and our school administration as the
Teacher of the Year for Sossaman Middle School. I am honored to have been chosen by such a
phenomenal group of people.

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS MOST VALUABLE TEACHER — Phoenix, Arizona


June 2020
After receiving nominations from the students I taught in the 2019-2020 school year, I was selected as
a Most Valuable Teacher by the Arizona Diamondbacks. This award came with a $1,000 check to be
used in the classroom. It was wonderful to be recognized by the Diamondbacks and by my students
for the efforts made in my classroom.
