    LION'S PRIDE

    LAMENTO , KOBE LORENZO


    Because male lions are possessive and will do anything to protect their territory, I like to incorporate
    myself into a lion because I see myself as a protector of my loved ones; I would rather sacrifice myself
    for others to prosper. I also figure out my role in society through my sexual self by adhering to a
    masculinity that serves and protects those who are abused and discriminated against. Lions are also
    great parents, and I have this idealistic view of myself as being the best parent for my future children
    through encouraging them to be themselves and always pursue the things that they really want in life.
    Lions are also viewed as responsible leaders as they are capable of leading the pride and facing greater
    challenges on their way. In my personal experience, I would usually take the role of the leader,
    especially in group projects, not because I have greater skills than my members, but because I believe
    that I could bring out the true potential of my members and other people through motivation. I realized
    that even though I'm not capable of other things just like other people, I have this sense of motivation
    and positivity that influences other people to do their best at all times. Realizing one's weaknesses and
    strengths is also important for me, as it encourages myself to focus on certain aspects where I truly
    have an advantage and utilize them to help people other than myself. The symbol of the lion also has a
    relationship with my physical and sexual self because I view myself as a masculine person that has the
    capability to protect and be a role model of stoicism. I envisioned leaders to be strong physically, which
    is why I have incorporated it into my daily routine to improve my body image by working out and
    exercising every day. Working out became part of my daily activity, and it benefited me by improving
    my confidence.

    Sometimes, I may have this egoistic aspect wherein I have a super fragile ego and I could be easily hurt
    by the smallest gesture of disrespect. I also do have anger-management issues, and it can sometimes
    hurt other people's feelings. In my recent experience, my ex-girlfriend and I had to end our relationship
    because she saw that I could not handle my anger and temper issues. I also learned a lot in our past
    relationship from the mistakes that I made. I don't really blame my ex for breaking up with me because
    almost all of it was my fault. It gave me another chance to change myself, and currently, with the help
    of my friends and also God, I am able to change myself little by little. I have become more resilient with
    my emotions and I can better handle my anger. God also helped me through my journey of change. He
    made me realize how to be a humble leader and to truly serve the people around me. He became my
    role model of a true leader among his followers through serving his followers. In this lesson, I realized
    that other people can influence me and can contribute to my change. Although lions are considered as
    king of the jungle; A king should adhere to the ambitions of his followers and always focus on achieving
    the common goal for everyone and should prioritize himself and his personal motives.
