Baril Module 2
1BSA1- Non Abm Emotional Intelligence

Written Reflective Learning

I’ve learned a lot from this whole module 2. Starting from the effects of the sides of my emotions. The
first is the negative one. The effects of negative emotions, we all know that everyone experiences
negative emotions and it simply because we're all human. But I shouldn't worry because it is normal. But
if I just let it to last in myself, there are negative effects that would affect how I act, think and behave.
Now, Let's include that negative emotions would narrow my thinking like I’m acting impulsively, when
we say impulsive is that I’m doing things without forethought. It's because of my negative feeling, it
hinders my conciousness of how I usually behave. Negative emotion also reduces my performance, of
course if I’m angry, mad, or out of my mood things will not go well. I am more liable of causing a fight,
yelling someone, or do things that I will regret subsequently. It’s so easy to understand, this learning just
points out that I shouldn’t make my negative emotions last because it will affect the way I think, act and
socialize with others.

Now let me talk about the opposite side. Of course the best one, the effects of positive emotions. It is
apparent that everyone likes to always have positive feelings. It simply because it enlightens ourselves
and having a stress-free mood. It’s simple, especially nowadays, the more I grow up my responsibilities in
life get higher which causing me more stress. But it all depends on me of how I’m going to manage it.
I’ve learned that I have to find good ways to gain positive emotions even though I’m stressing too much
in life, mostly to a student like me who still developing in life, It is vital to have positive emotions as
these improve my performance in work, school and relationship with others. I could achieve a lot in my
everday life, I could finish my school works, I could gain more friends, I’ll be productive, I could
overcome the challenges in life and most importantly I could live in happiness bacause I have this
positive emotion. I only say, if you choose to be happy and look positively in life even at toughest
situation, I will manage it because I’m emotionally intelligent.

I’ve also learned that how I choose to live my life has tremendous power over the way I feel everyday. It
simply means I control my life, I control my emotion, and I actually have more control over happiness
than I might think. I’m depending on my mindset, the habits I practice, and the way I want to live each
day. If I choose to put effort in life, work hard, be consistent and have patience in life, I’ll be happy. So
I’ll always choose to be happy in life without any adverse consequences.

Lastly, Can I really change my thoughts and emotions? The answer is definitely yes, by thinking
positively in life, removing all unwanted feelings, reducing my stress with different techniques, gaining
act of kindness, forgiveness to people, and feeling of gratitude every time would definitely change the
way my thought and emotion are. Mindfulness or positive thinking affects my perceptions of the world
and make me feel calmer, more resilient and happier. So based on my own experience and learnings in
life, I left all the past that hinders me and choose the way of moving forward so I'll be happy and bust
those negative feelings that were burdening me and keeping me away from happiness in my present life.
I’m still really learning a lot in life as I age, and from the question once again, can I change my thoughts
and emotions? If I’m aware of my thoughts and emotions, I can choose to change them! And that’s all
what I have learned in the whole module 2.
