III. Project Background

This project is planned and crafted after careful analysis and feedbacking of SHS
administrators and teachers on the implementation of modular distance learning at
Nagbalayong National High School. The status reports and results of previous
intervention activities done to resolve issues and conflicts tell that another intervention
program should be done to help both the parents and the teachers.

IV. Project Objectives

The objectives of this project are the following:
1. To ensure that the essential learning competencies and practical skills required for TVL
subjects will be acquired;
2. To deliver education to learners at-risk as last resort to ensure learning continuity;
3. To promote an intervention program through mobilization of volunteer teachers to
support the “No Child Left Behind” policy of the Department of Education.

V. Project Methodology
The project proponents will submit a request letter and this project proposal to
the assistant principal and school principal for review and approval. The ASP and SP will
then recommend the proposal for approval by the PSDS and coordinate with the
Barangay LGU for the project to be implemented. Upon approval, the volunteer teachers
from the senior high school will be mobilized to the target learner-beneficiaries’ houses
to conduct Project DEED. The said voluntary teaching will be done through proper
scheduling in order not to hamper the senior high school class program for the current
school year. Since the project is voluntary, the volunteer teachers will use their available
time, preferably Saturday and Sunday, and ensure that their regular class schedule will
not be affected.
In the conduct of Project DEED, the following activities will be the focus:

saved from the previously employed intervention programs. This will give
chance for the students who cannot keep pace with the modular distance
learning modality due to valid reasons.

3. Teaching of ACAD subjects that requires actual performance. This project will
also resolve the problem in teaching the required skills in some ACAD
subjects. There are performance tasks that can be done using videos and
submitting these online as an alternative, but this will not be applicable to
learners living in remote areas, or those who have no privilege to use gadgets
and devices, has no internet connectivity, or no cellphone load.
