Hi Team,

Please find the updates for Project Synchrony: -

Key Activities Completed

- Discussion with Orpac –

Orpac aligned to use lesser lead time components to reduce the lead time and cost, however
still the lead time is somewhere around 7-8 months and the cost of the solution is still higher
than the initial base budgetary quotation given by Orpac. The project is supposed to be
executed in the phase-wise manner, the second solution to be manufactured after the start-up
of the first to utilize the learnings.

- Visit to Durva Machinery (Ahmedabad) –

-  Discussion on the technical feasibility of Durva’s original solution (Solution 1)
-  Discussion on the technical feasibility of Morrison’s solution (Solution 2) to be executed by
Durva
-  Durva is comfortable in developing both kind of the solution as per their capability. Basic
scope has been discussed and frozen.
-  Manufacturing Lead time in case of Durva Machinery is 3 months and costs are almost half of
what Orpac has quoted.
-  Due diligence done for the vendor’s site and we have confidence that the vendor will be able
to handle this order despite of being small scale. We are betting on their current portfolio
(domestic & international) and the owner’s experience in ampoule handling facility for past 15
years.

Note – Due to the lead time and cost difference the recommendation from the site engineering
team is to move ahead with Durva Machinery for the implementation of project. Proper due
diligence has been done by visiting the site which has increased the confidence level for the
success of this developmental project.

        -     Site Feasibility –

              -  After discussion on site within the engineering team, solution 2 is preferred as in sol. 1 there
might be a problem of the back-pressure.
              -  Markings has been done on the site to understand the spatial constraints.
              -  Civil scope has been defined.

Scope (in the order of planned execution)

- Swapping of reject and accept chutes of Brevetti Machines.

- Relocation of partition between Brevetti 1 and Esai room to create more space for pallet
mobilization at Brevetti 1 feeding area. This will require door relocation in the Esai room
beforehand.
- Relocation of Brevetti machine panel as per the spatial constraints.
- Removal of partition between Brevetti 1 and Sticker Labelling 2 for integration.
- Relocation of Sticker Labelling 2 for integration.
- Relocation of partition between Sticker Labelling 2 and Sticker Labelling 1 to optimize space for
the future prospects (new engineering office) after SL1 is moved to current engineering office
for integration with Brevetti 2. This will require door closing in the current Sticker Labelling 2.
- Installation of the new buffer system and startup for the first module. Capture learnings.
- Relocation of Brevetti 2 panels as per the spatial constraints.
- Removal of partition between Brevetti 2 and current engineering office
- Relocation of Sticker Labelling 1 (and MRA panel) to current engineering office
- Installation of the second buffer system and startup of the same.
- Door closing of current engineering office
- Note – Partition relocation between current engineering office (future SL1 room) for space
optimization has not been considered as of now as it may interfere with the scope of Synchrony
Phase 2 (connection of SL1 and Old Elmach machines)
